My buddy has one in 300 win that shoot bug holes with 165 gr SST's.

I stay away from 24hr campfire as the level of intelligence there is only outdone by the self fellatio done by many of the posters.

Any new product is going to have some issues with the first run.

I emailed LAW about this as I have a LAW in 300WM coming next week. Their COO's response is as follows:

out of the first 350 rifles we have shipped 14 had issues with targeting. We found that on those 14 rifles, the front aluminum bedding blocks in the stock had tilted slightly and caused an occasional flyer. To correct those rifles and to prevent any future issues we have started hand bedding the front pillar block. The bedding has taken care of any possible irregularities in the targeting. It is a very simple process if you find it necessary.

Is it normal for manufacturers to void warranty with hand loads? That's seems suspect to me.

Regarding the rifles, I've seen enough to make me hesitant until further reviews come out.

Just read through warranties from gun manufacturers, most have hand load language..

Most will have warranties to protect themselves from dumb asses. But the reputable ones will take care of you, hand loads or not.

Hey, Ryan, could you define a Dumbass? I agree with what you say, but I'm guessing your definition is priceless.

Guys I know Im new here, but I would like to make a comment about these rifles. I have beed on the hunt for the perfect 280AI and thought that I had found it in the Legendary arms professional. So I found a dealer that has a 280AI in stock and luckily, he was a VERY honest guy. He said that he was in the process of sending the 280AI back to Legendary Arms for repair and that as soon as they were done with it he could have them drop ship it to my FFL. When I asked what was wrong with it, he said he was unsure if anything at all was wrong with it, but that he didn't want to take a chance. He said that he has sold four of the five guns that he got in and NONE were shooting MOA. He said he believes these guys are awesome and will get everything figured out soon. However, the first batch of these rifles are NOT something I would take a chance on. I DID MY RESEARCH HARD, and decided to go against it. I will order one in a couple years after more reviews are out. I ended up ordering a Kimber Montana in 280ai this morning, even though I think the Kimber is a little too light for me.
Also you might look at the TWO youtube videos CLOSLY and you will see the bolt Bind up on both videos. On one video it binds up really bad, especially for a $1700.00 gun.
I have NO hidden agenda, and can assure you I will order one in 280AI in a year or so after I know they have the issues worked out, but for now, its too dicey for me. Heck, it took everything I could do to order a Kimber Montana after reading all the horror stories, but I found a couple new for $999.00.
I figure at that price, I will have money to send it to the smith if I have a problem.

If anyone buys a Legendary arms and rolls the dice, PLEASE post back here on its accuracy , I still want one in a VERY bad kind of way....

I did read on another site that some of the first rifles had a problem with the front lug. They are now bedding all their rifles around the front lug. It was reported to take care of the issue.

this company is new. no reputation. just because a builder has a reputation means nothing. many people are involved and its not in his hands only. ill pass on these. my time is more important to the wasted money in a chitty rifle. my bow feels damn good though, shoots strait and plain works......

Lotsa ways to get a good rig and a questionable newbie isn't on the top of the list. Start with a Mcmillan stock, 700 action, and let the rest fall into place per your choosing.

I posted a note re: my LAW Professional in the new rifle thread. Mine shot very well when I got it but had a bad trigger. Sent back for a new trigger and while it was there they re bedded it and now it shoots even better. Very pleased with it. I've probably put 60 rounds thru it so far.If you want to see a target pm me your cell# or your email and I'll send you a pic.

Mine works - haven't had a chance to develop any loads but I threw some federal blue box 150's into it - got it on target and took this small pig on the weekend.

Any updates on your rifles. I bought one in 300wm. Got it to the range today. Not very impressed. I couldn't get it to group. For those of you with 300wm what type of ammo are you shooting?

Hey, Ryan, might you determine a Dumbass? We agree along with your words, however I am guessing your own definition will be priceless.

Did you notice their warranty concerning type of ammo used. Looks like it only applies if factory ammo is used - no reloads or imported ammo.

My warranty would be voided when I lit the first primer.

as it would with virtually any other rifle you find

Just this afternoon I mounted my son in law's scope on his new LAW Professional 300 Win Mag - It'll be a bit til I get the chance to shoot it for myself but the workmanship and balance is right on, a bit heavier than a "lightweight" IMO but I predict a good shooting rifle for a fair price - Anyone who thinks the company "shady" should probably go ahead and buy an X-bolt (but don't tell Browning you're shooting handloads !!)
