Short film on going lead free, posted without comment or judgement, at least from me. I just like the filmmakers other work and this popped into my feed, so thought I would post it here for you all to have yet another lead vs mono debate...

What outcome are you suggesting is falsified?Having worked on scientific studies on wildlife, I can tell you that any outcome you want can be purchased.
Follow the money.
I didn't say falsified, I said you can purchase the outcome. What outcome are you suggesting is falsified?

I guess I can't help but wonder, what/where exactly is the money we're following? It seems like a group of folks that care about birds have noticed lead poisoning as a problem and are asking hunters to consider alternatives to lead bullets. People are selling both lead and copper bullets, and making healthy profits on both. Do the bird nerds somehow get a cut of the latter?I didn't say falsified, I said you can purchase the outcome.
It's true that some lead bullets will frag hard, they're designed to for killing small game for fur......the game you don't leave in the field typically.
It's also true that some bonded lead bullets are nearly frag free.
The most important thing I said was
FOLLOW THE MONEY.
Work your way through the list and let me know when you get to a couple of organizations that support hunting.....and count how many work against hunting.I guess I can't help but wonder, what/where exactly is the money we're following? the 2024 Adjustment to the eagle rule streamlined the process for eagles to be incidentally killed by windmills. Several conservation and environmental groups had filed amicus briefs in federal court recently in which they defended that adjustment for increased and streamlined take of eagles by wind energy facilties. Here is one such amicus brief - eagle issue starts on pg 17Using eagles in Iowa as an example, several deaths are contributed to lead poisoning annually. The theory is that the birds are eating deer gut piles/carcasses and picking up fragments as they feed. That may or may not be the source of the lead in the birds. However, the number of eagles continues to increase and the birds are thriving here in spite of no ban on lead bullets. My guess is the unlimited food sources in the form of dead hog carcasses in addition to other carrion and occasional live kills keeps them fat and happy in this state. If the data were available, we may see that more are likely killed in Iowa by wind turbines, but nobody is up in arms or suggesting banning them (Iowa is number one or two in wind production).
