Geoff, I received my 2p yesterday and so far have only had it setup in the lounge room. Initial thoughts are that it seems just as well made as any other quality/respected tent (MSR, Mountain Hardware etc).
It is big inside and has great size vestibules especially for the weight. Packed with stuff sacks and pole repair sleeve it weighs 1.56kg which would be in line with their advertised weight of 1.53kg for tent, fly, poles, pegs and guy lines. I'm 5'10" and sit up in the middle with 4-5" of head room to spare.
The bath tub floor comes up approx 10" which will keep any drafts from hitting you directly.
For me, this is exactly what I was looking for. I almost bought a hubba hubba NX but kept pulling out because I really wanted external poles and pitch as one. I searched everywhere looking for these things in a tent and the mountain star is the only one I could find.
I'll be living out of it for 8 days from the 13th this month so I'll let you know how it goes.
