Does anyone use a kisser?
I just got a new bow and was having a hard time getting a consistent anchor. Looked at my other bow and I had forgotten I had a kisser button. Got one tied up and it sure tightened up my groups. Plus I find it much easier at low light to not have to see through my peep on shorter shots. Anchor and I'm confident my pins are close.
I don't see many on people's bow, so wondering if there downside to using one, is a person better off finding a different solution for consistency?

I use to, don't anymore.

Consistent anchor with my hand in my jawbone, barely touch my nose to the string, peep.

They aren't a bad thing, can definitely help.

I won't buy the popular nose buttons, but previous to those, guys just tied soft nocks on their string and used that similarly.

I recently went back to a kisser button, Had a nose button and got to where I couldn't feel it or consistently put it on the tip of my nose in the same spot. I know, its a form problem but since switching I have been shooting better.

If it helps you shoot better use it. Been long time, I think only real down fall is it kills speed by like 6fps or something

Funny timing on seeing this thread. I have always had one on my bows. I’m actually going to get mine and my son’s bows set up today. I asked the shop if people still do kissers, and if they had em. They said yes. So we will both be getting them. I’m just used to em, and if it helps either of us be more accurate, I’m all for it.

I have one on an old backup bow. If it works for you, use it. I have gravitated away from them in more recent years as I’ve gotten better at consistent anchoring but it certainly won’t hurt anything

I use a piece of d loop material or rubber eliminator button.

I just want a very slight touch, for me it helps relax my draw arm elbow, if I lock it out I lose touch with kisser. Big traditional kisser would keep in contact either way.

Lips are pretty soft. The people that I know that have used them set them up to hit a tooth for more consistency.

If you can keep a consistent anchor without then no need. That being said in various hunting situations where you may not have the opportunity to use perfect form like you do target shooting, a kisser will help force that consistent anchor

I went from nose button to kisser back to nose button. I think unequivocally thr nose button works better. The Bowmars are the worst type of people but the button is a great product.

Any speed loss if any is negligible. If you’re losing 6 FPS your kisser button must be really heavy.

Man, i ain't the best guy out there running a bow, but the nose button is a big help for consistency at anchor.

It also helps me when I come to draw on an animal. That quick sharp poke in the nose brings me more into the moment and the process I need to run.

Well I shoot like I practice the shot. Always remember everything to do when you’re hitting shots. Sometime my nephew catches me what I’m doing wrong. Had a buddy shoots really good then took it to bow shop to check things out. Then he go out and did crappy . I said me shooting form or switching release did it. Now he’s going back to practice to find out.
