Got on the stairmonster yesterday for the first time in a good long while. Decided I wanted to see what pace I could go and be at my max level to still be able to carry on a some conversation. That turned out to be level 8. 30 minutes yielded 140 floors and the need for a roll of bounty to wipe the freakin sweat puddles up.

I’m definitely tapering off. More effort is yielding less and less progress. I guess that’s the way it goes.

Just doing conditioning this week...
Monday: stamina at comfortable pace - 60:00, 320 floors
Tuesday and Thursday: self-propelled treadmill work 40/30 minutes
Wednesday: 30:00, 180 floors via pyramid training
Friday: 35# pack and 130 floors, post leg day. I’m sore!

22 days til Montana!

I was feeling pretty good about my 200 floors yesterday with body weight until I found this thread lol Time to up the stakes before October 11th.

Nothing new this week. I’m nursing plantar fasciitis and a sore back and I pulled something in my hip yesterday when I was doing my weighted stairmaster workout. I’m batting for the cycle! I’ll probably end up laying low this week.

Thanks for the challenge and motivation, I had started adding stairmaster in a few weeks ago. I would also likely to give a huge nod to some of the numbers getting posted.

20:00, 85 flights. It was hard. Im gonna get trying to push that number up.

If you are like me, you will come to have a loathe/hate relationship with the stairmonster. :)

40 minutes 240 floors at a cruising pace. No pack. I got yelled at by my PT for aggravating my plantar fasciitis, so it’s stationary bike for the rest of the week and then off to Montana. Good luck to all of you. Shoot straight!

60 years old, weigh 155#. Had pneumonia last month for a couple weeks, set my training way back. However, today (bodyweight only, no pack yet) I did 30 minutes on the stair climber, results were 119 floors, 75 steps/minute. Gradually getting back towards peak fitness. Doing evening walks/hikes w/25# pack. I'm not elk hunting this fall, only antelope next month. So physical demands won't be as great...

You guys are crazy with these numbers. I jumped on the stair machine for the first time ever this week at the end of my workout just to see what it is all about.

I made it 5 minutes LOL

I'm joining the dreaded planet fitness just to get access to a stairmaster....I'll probably regret every minute until next elk season.

Tags are filled, holiday weight gain has already happened, now its time to hit the gym again.

Tried out the stairmonster today after my workout and it felt pretty good. Slow and steady.
