I know we have the .223, .243/6mm, .25 and 6.5. Why not one for the big cartridges?
Post pictures of of internal damage with anything above 6.5 PRC.

.270, 7 Mag/PRC, .308, .30-06, .300 Mag…..

Cartridge, MV, impact velocity, and what bullet would be perfect.

The more pictures the better.
Entrance, exit and what it looked like in between. 😁

And no, I don’t have any to contribute. 😁

This was a 7mm Berger hunting 180 vld at 730 yards. 3050ish mv. 7 Sherman Short. Here is the video. I don't know how you can argue with a bullet that will go through 26" inches of vitals and gut, and then blow a giant hole in the offside leg. Look close at the hole filled with grass... nasty. The pics of the jacket were recovered in the ham. Deer ran maybe 50 yards and piled up.

I've killed a few deer and antelope with my 6.5 creed and I rather like the cartridge, but I'm well beyond 50+ animals with cartridges north of the creedmoor so I won't bore you with pictures, I like them all.

I know there are lot of small caliber guys here. But I think there are quite a few guys using larger cartridges as well.
I’d like to some pictures of the wound channels from the lager stuff.

438 yd shot, bullet impacted behind the shoulder, this is the entrance side
The VLDs have done this one every elk/deer Ive shot. I don't get exit holes, just inside the front shoulder the vitals are a mess.

For sure. I wish I had some for you. I have a crush on 338 diameter. Have killed with my 338 WM and 338 federal, 45-70, 375HH, 300wsm, 30-06, the absolute most violent was my buddy using a 270 with SST. He shot a doe with a neck shot one year. Does heads was hanging on by 1.5” of skin

Out of the animals I’ve killed with the cartridges I’ve used the WSM had the most devastating and gruesome shot. 30 cal entrance room and a bowling ball exit. This cartridge also has the sharpest recoil out of all these

This year I used my 338 federal and both dot fired within 10 feet

45/70 is .45 entrance and a hair larger exit.

280 ai, 600+ yards, Hornady Precision Hunter ammo.

This is the offside where the hide caught the bullet. Sloshy insides. One shot kill, and he died within yards of impact.

Can folks also post time/distance to incapacitation? I think it would be helpful for comparison

Here is a bull my sister killed at 330yd with my 7RM using Unknown Munitions handloaded 162gr ELD-M bullets in Peterson brass. One shot, double lung, 30yd run, 10 seconds, dead.

This is the exit side

Golf ball size hole through and through

The 7mm 162gr ELD-M is a killer. Things die in quick fashion.
