That was a 26” barreled 300wm with too much H1000.

Others were 300WM from 22-24”, 26” 300RUM, 34” 300 RUM improved, etc

Been using DRT bullets this yr. I am massively impressed. I'm using .264 147 gr and have dropped three animals with them from 40-420 yards. 40 yds 3 steps, 205 yds bang flop, 420 yds bang flop. They have shot very accurately and precise to 700 on 10" steel. No exit on any of the animals and extreme internal trauma.

Glad I'm not the only one who's not a fan of grinding burger meat in the field.

200yds, 300wm, 200gr terminal ascent.

Normally a clean pass through, but this quartering shot was too high (or just right for those that like spine shots, but who don't like backstrap)

.30 cal 168gr TMK exit on a decent size bull elk, around 2200fps impact. Fist fit in hole.

Blacktail buck .308 168 AMAX at 2430 fps. Behind shoulder on 5th rib, fragmented through heart & lungs, hit offside humorous, caught by offside hide.





Bull elk .308 168 AMAX at 2390 fps. Hit rib, spine and lungs. Punched through offside scapula and stopped in the flat iron muscle.

Both deer shot directly in the heart with a 20 gauge 260 grain accutip. Left one shot at 85 yards ran 100 yards bleeding all over. Right one shot at 50 yards ran 30 yards never lost a drop of blood.

Impact velocity ~2,425ish

Bullet entered in the right side crease behind the shoulder, destroyed the heart, both lungs, and completely shattered the far side humerus after exiting the chest cavity. There was no exit and bullet was found under offside hide. The cow lunged up on impact, took a couple quick steps down mountain, stiffened, and staggered a couple paces up mountain before collapsing. Total time from shot to being down was less than 5 seconds.

Thank you and my daughter shoots that rifle lights out. Chopped 18" Tikka with SWFA 3-15 in Sportsmatch rings on factory dovetail. With LA bolt stop and LA mags it is a shooter with .75-1.25 10 shot groups the norm.
