What happened to the thread on the goat hunt film that they mentioned 700 times in their podcast?

Looks like they did an even better job than Rinella.
It appears someone is "sanitizing"........not sure I'm cool with that. Cancel culture is horseshit. So is censorship. Slippery slope-

The other one gone is the alibaba pack thread-shame that one had some good laughs in it

It's a privately- owned forum. They can do whatever they want on it, whether the members agree or disagree.

It spoke ill of someone you cannot speak ill of so it was cast into the fiery depths of damnation.

Do not challenge the patron Saints of Rokslide.

JK, kinda. I don’t remember seeing it either.

I listened to that podcast and still don’t know exactly what happened. Did they kill two Goats and couldn’t retrieve them because of the terrain or what?

Not sure why anyone would be so eager to complain on the internet about anything. If you dislike the video, don't watch. If you dislike Kifaru, don't buy. Way too many opinions always being voiced constantly about things that don't really concern the people complaining.

Nothing you say will make a bit of difference.

Is this about the goat hunt that looked more like the shootout from the ok corral?

It was a “shootout” alright… probably the worst example of hunting I’ve ever seen on film.

ETA I was thinking of the Ram hunt video mentioned below!

Speaking of shoot out i think the thread on the 200" ram called the "Duke" who got in a gunfight has also been removed.

Edit: I did not search far enough down to find it, i was wrong.

Not sure what your getting at?

My post was regarding threads disappearing and possible selective censorship. Being this place thrives on UNBIASED reviews and opinions from real deal outdoorsmen and women, it seemingly goes against that philosophy when certain things are removed-in this case member opinions that I don't believe broke forum rules. I don't know why certain threads have disappeared, and don't really care. However, I do think it is a slippery slope "if" and I say IF as I don't know for sure, but in the event it was removed for forum members commenting on a backpack that was from a site sponsor-with factual information, that could be the total definition of bias.

Ultimately, I don't care for these wordy arguments on a computer, and don't care enough. Rock on Bro-

It's easy for me to say "oh, I don't like this, I won't watch it". What you cannot say is "This reflects poorly on hunters, NO ONE ELSE SHOULD WATCH THIS!"

Whether you like it or not and whether you agree with it or not, every hunting video released on the internet is a reflection of ALL hunters to a large percentage of the population. Since they affect the impression the general public has of us we have every right (and in my opinion, an obligation) to call out anything that reflects poorly on hunting.

I think it was actually a side conversation in the "duke" thread

You just proved the point. The owners of the forum can, at any time, remove whatever threads they want to, whether the members agree or disagree with their decision. I didn't see the thread, and don't feel like I missed much from what's been said here. Probably the reason it got pulled. What was it going to contribute to the forum? Another bash thread? Probably not what Ryan or Robby feel like dealing with again. Semper gumby devil.
