I ordered mine today! I went with multicam. I can't wait to drop camp and then be in instant daypack mode. I wonder if I will have it by June.

Hey fellas,

All the Camp Bags will have dual zippers.

I thought that was Patrick's final decision, but had to check.

So if I understand the op correctly, a high camp (4800 or 7000) works perfect with the nomad? Do you find that you had to really tighten the batwings to hold the highcamp against the frame at the risk of putting too much pressure on the batwing contents?

The HC bags attach to the frame/Nomad, so I am not sure why you would that much pressure.

You put the frame sleeve of the high camp over the frame sleeve of the Nomad that is already on the frame? How are you attaching it to the frame/Nomad. I thought it was held in place by the batwings/grab it/and lid.

From the first post it sounds like you connect the lower portion of the high camp bags to the frame like normal using the 2 3-bar sliders but I don't think you use the stay pocket on the high camp when you have the nomad. Bat wings and lid hold everything tight.
The more I look at the HC/nomad combo the more I like it. I picked up a HPG 25Cm bag and it works ok by its self on the bikini frame and I am sure it will pair great with the nomad. On the other hand, with the HC 4800 bag you would have almost twice the CI, compression straps, more than one access point and more options with another stand alone pack.

This picture below shows the back of the Highcamp 4800 and all it's attachment points. The four 3 bar sliders at the bottom of the bag attach to the plastic tabs just like normal. The delta straps come off the waist belt and attach to the bag. The lower horizontal straps attach to the frame below the Nomad panel just like they normally do. The upper horizontal straps can't attach to the frame where they normally do, so they attach to the upper tabs on the inside of the nomad panel. The only thing that doesn't work the same as normal is where the bag slides onto the top of the stays. Because the nomad is already there you can't slide the Highcamp frame sleeve over the top. You can however still use the holes in the frame sleeve where the load lifter straps go through for another connection point. The lower pic shows what that looks like.
