Not sure if I understand what you meant by that. In my opinion, everyone should be absolutely obsessed with the government taking rights away. That’s actually why we’re even having this discussion.

In response to:
But just like any regulation/law on firearms is an infringement on the 2A; any law banning a hunting
practice is another step to loose hunting.

I don't know what criticizing influencers and hunting celebrities had to do with banning guns or 2A. Not everything is a government plot. When you jump in a leopard cage and a leopard eats your face, don't go around complaining that a leopard ate your face. If "hunters" keep posting dumb and distasteful content and we just blindly support them, I think we deserve what's coming for us, but I did digress...

The loss off opportunity for anything in life, hunting in this example, is not due to the "celebrity' or "influencer" posting pictures doing obnoxious things or getting caught poaching. The loss comes from those who don't stand up for something cause it doesn't affect them, in their mind "why should they worry about it?". Perfect example, ladogg being upset by cat hunting so he believes it should be outright banned altogether even though its legal and ethical. What's that famous quote by Martin Niemoller ,

"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

I don't mean we should all blindly follow and or support anyone who is into hunting, but we shouldn't be casting stones or be okay with banning things just because we don't personally like it or hunt that way. The people who break the law or do stupid things for attention, sure we should call those folks out and criticize them, but to not support all legal and ethical hunting is absolutely absurd. In this instance of the OP, I have found the comments from joe and cam specifically to be stupid and I think they have realized they made a mistake. I just wish they would get more vocal about the current and upcoming issues of ballot box biology from anti-hunting orgs to get their way chipping away one chip at a time.

I support banning hound hunting of bears & mountain lion. The only reason all mountain lion hunting might go down with the hound hunters of CRWM is if Coloradans let it happen. They seem to want to fight Prop 91/101 outright, instead of fronting a competing prop that would only ban hound hunting of cats.

The law successfully draws lines on slippery slopes all the time.
a. Most states haven banned hunting deer with dogs for decades. That hasn't led to losing bird hunting with dogs.
b. The NFA was signed in 1934 - ninety years ago. And I still have all the firearms I need.

You should quit hunting. Seriously just give it up! This is a ridiculous statement from a hunter!

Finished the last of this podcast today. Outside of the stuff that's already been discussed, the lack of any shred of remorse when Cam said he used to park his truck sideways in the road so people couldn't get to "his" public land spot was disgusting. Then he was surprised when he heard gunshots like some a-hole was shooting his truck, I'm surprised they didn't! If I get stuck on some back road because your truck is between me and home, its gonna move whether you're there or not!
Joe likes to call out comedians who have people write for them or steal other comedians jokes/styles because they didn't put in the effort and learn the hard way how to be successful on their own. But then calls anybody who criticizes his hunting style a jealous bitch even though he pays upwards of $100k for someone else to raise a monster elk on private property and call it in for him to shoot. That would be like a rich person who's never performed standup before buying a bunch of great jokes and performing to a crowd of drunk people. Sure it looks the same on the outside but anyone who's in the business is gonna go "yeah, but..."
I get that hunters should be better team players, but don't expect anyone to come to the aid of your public image when you talk about parking people out of public spots or paying double+ the median annual income to shoot a monster bull and call it meat hunting.
Steve definitely kept quiet on a few of those rants because he didn't have anything nice to say, I feel like he wanted to call them out a little but didn't want to draw lines in the sand to cause tension. Good on him.

I listened to the podcast it’s definitely something… I enjoy Steve and Cams thoughts but Joe sometimes talks with such confidence about stuff he knows little about it can be annoying.

This. I listen to most Rogan episodes but I can’t stand when he talks about hunting because he knows 1/10th of what he thinks he does. When he says “Elks, deers or coyotEY’s” drives me up the wall.
And apparently sellout Steve and cam didn’t feel like correcting him at all during this episode, they just let him rant and talk out of his ass.

Joe Rogan falls into the category of causing as much harm as good for the hunting community? I’m not seeing that from my end. I’d say he’s opened more eyes to the good of hunting than just about anyone. Put it this way, would you rather he and his platform be anti-hunting? It doesn’t mean you have to agree with all he says but I’m really glad he hunts.
I'd rather him shut up about it.

Back when we were fishing south Louisiana a lot, people were constantly asking/telling me me "like Swamp People!"

Same with Joe and his blowhard guided hunts.

I love all three of those guys. All of their podcasts are great, and I've even read some of their books. Cams book was really good. I even have a "I 😍 Cam" tramp stamp tattoo and always keep hammering. All three of them are self made and living the American dream. Most of their values align with mine and I would rather listen to them for entertainment then give money to Disney for the next woke piece of garbage Marvel movie.

I listened to the podcast also and like some here have already said I have my opinions good or bad or whatever.
I like listining to JRE but Joe needs to get a little moe experience in hunting to talk about al ot of things that he says. Nothing against him but jsut because he shoots and has had some big bulls killed dosent make him a pro at anything.
The comment from Cam about the truck being parked was about as piss poor as anything I have seen or heard from him in a while. When I first got into or thinking of getting into the western hunting thing Cam was one I looked at or looked up to a lot as he was one of the more pronounced hunters that I knew about.
Now the guy annoys the shit out of me. His stupib "Bling" that he wears now like his big giany gold CM logo chain acting like hes Flava Flave. Or the dumb Gold and Ruby Bear claw thing he had on this pod cast. To me its jsut stupid and shows to me he is all about the money and the fame.
For a guy that has not a business owner, who is strictly an influencer to have a net worth that he does is all about the influencing. You Tube, Tic Toc, Inst famous whatever. I dont have a lot of use for the guy any longer.
He went from a normal guy to a guy that drops probably hundreds of thousands of dollars to hunt where he does. That in my opinion is not impressive at all.

Steve is probably the more favorable of influencers or public hunters I care about. He has his views he seems down to earth and a genuine hunter and is more about the hunt than most i have ever seen. Its not always about the biggest on the planet he is after.
not saying the guy is perfect and not saying I 100% agree with everything he does but as far as a hunter that is in the "spotlight" so to speak I think he is one of the better ones.

It is nice to see, like others have said its more about eating the game than anything. Yet at the same time. Do you think JR or Cam would shoot a 5x5 just so they can get meat? Not a chance.

They all did have some great points about the anti's though I will say that. The Anti hunting people are banded together no matter really what the cause is about.
Us hunters are not and sadly I dont think we ever will be. Its sad to think that something we all love to do so much is being taken away at a rapidly growing pace yet we cant get on the same page at all with one another. Maybe its a ego thing or what ever but the podcast did put it out there that if hunters do not do something. Our kids will never enjoy the things we do now...and that is the sad part and its slowly coming true.

I think hunting opportunities will only increase in coming years. Every generation goes outside less and likes to be uncomfortable less. Joe Rogan talking about how awesome it is, won't make that big of a dent in the millions of couch potatoes we have. Just wait until the stupid Apple goggles get really cheap. Nobody under 30 will leave their house anymore.
And they’ll all vote against hunting. I honestly believe within 10-15 we‘ll not be able to hunt on federal land. Blue States will probable ban state lands.

The % of hunters in the population is shrinking. People who don’t hunt but have family and friends that do is shrinking, they tend to not view hunting in negative Light.

The pendulum will swing and swing quickly.

Look this is just anecdotal so take it as you wish. I have two large families on my side (moms, dads) and in-law family that is also large. Many cousins all around. All combined very diverse in politics and life choices living all over the country and a bunch in NYC and CA. Some extremes on all spectrums too. Not a single one disagrees with hunting and eating wild game. I’ve fed venison to “vegans”, LGBTQ+ squared, you name it. All approve. The internet and SM influencers have you think the sky is falling and we need more hunters. The main battle we have is against anti predator hunting and that’s obvious. We can beat them with science and sound management practices. With that said, no one is coming for deer, elk, pig, etc hunting at any time during our life. Theres just no evidence of that.

I've got some friends that are very far left. LGBTQIA+ activists, BLM activists, Land Back and repatriation advocates... They're not anti hunting. Some even hunt.

A number of them are quite interested in my hunting. They'll eat game meat, love my hunting dogs, etc.

The only complaints I've heard from any of them about hunting is that coyote hunting competitions are gross... And I don't think they're wrong.
