I'm really bingeing to be out chasing bucks right now...good luck guys!

Well I crested the ridge and located the does at 65 yards right where I thought they were but they locked right on to me. They busted out to about 120 yards and started grunting. The buck wasn't with them cause he didn't show.

We are going to spot and stalk mornings and try and ambush by the creek in evening by spreading out about 100 yards apart that way we can cover about 200 yards in width. Will update tonight

Nothing came in for us tonight. Just gonna make some dinner and get to bed. At least the winds finally died down. It makes it hard to glass when your eyes won't stop watering and still shaky even on tripod. hopefully we will get on em tomorrow and have some photos

It's 9 below zero here. Looking out my window, all I see is snow, cold, and frozen people.

We may have to get down there

Um, yeah twist my arm a litt - OK, I'll go. The "beach" picture really sealed the deal for me... Water that isn't frozen - that's so cool!

Located a nice 4x3 and he's now bedded. Just need to make some landmarks to my stalk on. I should be able to head up a draw with wind and come over on top of him at about 40-50 yards. It's probably going to take a good three hours. Here are some pics

Got to 40 yards and a doe busts me and takes the buck with her. Dam does!
That's alright I'll get the next one. That's the third decent buck in three days so I'm pretty optimistic

We've just located 4 doe but can't seem to find a big boy with them. We are going to keep moving to different vantage points till we locate him. I know there is one in there with them. A photo of two of the does bedded

Just got back from checking another location and seen a lot of does but no bucks. On the way back I bumped a pack of javelinas. The alpha male stood his ground at 20 yards. Thought I was gonna have to put an arrow in him. Got a little nervous ain't gonna lie. To bad I don't have a pig tag.

There are prickly pear cactus EVERYWHERE. Plucked quite a few from my legs.
