Once again, we have a clear view of what these people will do if federal lands are transferred over to state management. A bill was introduced yesterday in the Wyoming legislature to sell state lands for $1/acre.

Keep an eye out for this nonsense, folks.

Edit to include a link to the bill: https://www.wyoleg.gov/Legislation/2026/HB0055

And shocker: he has an R by his name
I can’t stand the Democrats and I don’t like the Republicans much.

Under no circumstances can I cast a vote to support the Democrat national agenda, so the Republicans are usually what I’m left with. But I’m seldom happy about it and this issue is one example of why.

One of the things I hate most about both sides is when they get to speechifying and somewhere in the process of ejecting hot air into the atmosphere they use the phrase, “The American People.”

It never ends and they will keep pushing the issue. Most politicians are very self interested and our politics have become an attention based reality show. I don't really have much faith in either party. That being said Republicans are openly hostile to public lands in many cases. They are closely aligned with many of the industries that would profit from the selling of public lands. Of course those industries donate (give them bribes) to their campaigns. In the end they do their donors bidding and try to sell/steal public lands for their own $$$. Democrats tend to be more aligned with conservation based interest groups that promote public lands/access/recreation. These groups come with their own quagmire of issues and conflicting interests. Some of these groups and politicians are anti-hunting but others are not. Navigate accordingly.

Not interested in commenting on national political parties individual platforms, but one thing I will point out is that if we want to kill issues like this, Republicans actually have the most sway on the issue (indeed it was republicans that ultimately had the public land sales removed from the BBB). So if you want to move the needle, reach out to those folks and remind them that we don't want this!
