It's a Curse I Tell You, a Curse!!

I, like all you guys like guns. I have been shooting them for over 40 years now since I started as a kid with my first shotgun. I started shooting handguns 30+ years ago and since I was a LEO I carried one daily for many, many years. I own and have owned more guns and esp handguns than I care to even remember, some bad, most good, but all fun. With all that said though I just within the past few months bought (ashamed to admit it here...) my very first 1911 .45. I bought a Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded Model in SS. Since it was the loaded model with most of the goodies I wanted all I added extra was I changed out the factory mags and used Wilson Combat 47D's and without a doubt it has to be the finest shooting handgun I have ever taken out of a box (well out of a plastic case in todays world, boxes only you 50 year old and up guys like me will remember) . Only because I have been doing this so long I am a fairly decent shot. But I was putting these rounds right on top of each other at 20 yards. Up until the 1911 I thought the best shooting gun out of the box I had ever bought was my Sigs, not any more.

Now here's the curse. I can't stop buying 1911's now! I'm going go today drop another $800 and buy another Loaded Model in the Parkerized just because.

Yep, I like 1911’s too. It’s funny that one of my best shooting handguns is a cheap Rock Island Armory 1911.

1911s are cool. One day I’ll get a new carry piece, for now it’s my 20 year old Glock 19. Not even the newest model, heck not even the previous model. It’s a gen3. I need to get with the times.

My favorite side arm is a S&W 1911, those thing are fun and reliable.
