Most affordable TSS I’ve found

I shot $14 worth of 410 shotgun shells last year on turkeys… I also spent $5k on gas, tags, food, gear, and little sausage patties that we call meat cookies.

I’m just kidding… I didn’t buy TSS… Vince loads them for the whole company. You should see the look on his face when I blow thru a half a box on ground squirrels.

Five more weeks, I can’t wait.

On a side note. The scrap dealers are calling all the machine shops & buying scrap carbide for $42 a pound… so don’t expect TSS to go down anytime soon.

I didn’t read this entire thread so this light have even suggested but if you’re running 12 ga don’t waste your money on TSS. Longbeard XRs are fantastic and way way cheaper. I’ve killed a pile with them.
LBXR does have a reputation for killing turkeys. But I did shoot a 3.5” LBXR #5 against 2 different brands of TSS and there’s no denying LBXR is no match for TSS @40 & 50 yards.
Franchi intensity 3.5 / Jebs headhunter .660
50 yards 10” circle
Federal heavyweight 3” 1.75oz #9 = 74 hits
Hevi-18 3” 2oz #9 = 152 hits
LBXR 3.5” #5 = so underwhelming I didn’t even count the pellets.

I’m sure with the right choke you can get amazing results at those ranges with LBXR but TSS is the easy button & you can still get decent patterns at 15 yards instead of shooting a laser beam.

Is this a legit site? Good prices if it is

I’ve never ordered from there, but I’ve known the owner (Derrick) for several decades. He’s a good dude & the company (Horizon Firearms/ Kasper Industries) is very reputable.

It’s called 223 Remington. Roksliders do love their 223s don’t they??

Taken several with a .22 Hornet and a few with a Ruger "Single Six" w/ .22 Mag cylinder (9" bbl) and a scoped S&W M48 w/8 3/8" bbl.
Oklahoma "Spring Turkey" is shotgun/archery only!
I have 2 AR's in .223 Wylde, but "NO!", I don't really "like" them. It's more ammo availability rather than cartridge desire.

I would, however, LOVE to have another .22 Hornet!
I took a wider variety of game and vermin with it than any other caliber I've owned. Including a .22LR!

I’m nervous of other hunters where you CANT turkey hunt with a rifle! I snapped that pic yesterday of a longbeard that was showing off while I was fishing. Shotgun & archery only for me & my turkey hunting endeavors

Try 3 in longbeards. They usually will pattern better than 3.5 inch.

For lead tho longbeards hold their pattern way further than any other load. They can kill further than I have ever shot. I looked back and I killed 8 birds with long beards and never had an issue.

Yeah you’re not going to get the wow factor from patterning that TSS gives simply because of the pellet count being so much higher on TSS.

I run a 20 now with TSS and you’re right, the patterns are scary. So I can’t blame you for wanting to go that route.

Exactly why it was banned in AZ years ago. A young girl was killed by another hunter with a rifle while she was walking beside her father who was carrying a dead bird.
My youngest had a mentor on the job that meant the world to the kid.
He was turkey hunting in New Mexico with a married couple. The husband ended up killing him....with a shotgun!
It isn't the gun, it's a careless shooter!
