Is the 300 WSM Dying?

Agreed! I have notifications setup various places for Norma and ADG brass. I am thinking 200 pieces should cover me. Thoughts?

I think that would be a good start and just buy here and there as it becomes available

I built a 300 wsm off a Tikka action 2 years ago. Pretty much like most guys that decide to rebarrel a Tikka to a 300 wsm or 7 saum. Seems to be the popular route these days.

All I can say is it’s a hammer. I’m shooting 212 ELD-X’s at 2820 fps with an Ultra 7. Super accurate and was easy to tune. I strictly reload though. I stocked up as the shitstorm was brewing around covid and it was easy to find 200 pieces of Norma brass then. I also use H4831sc which isn’t impossible to find. The large rifle magnum primers are the unicorn piece in my reloading room. Down to my last 500 so I’m being a little more conservative now with those.

The ammo company’s didn’t make any 300wsm for like a year or so. Then federal did a run of fusion and Norma started making bondstrike. I haven’t seen a box on the shelves in my town in 3 years. I have to have it shipped to me from America.

Wow. I get that out of the box with my 30-06 with factory 180 nosler accubond. Any way you cut it that sucks.

Ha! Good point. I saw these when I searched for wsm ammo.
Seems as though it is tough to buy factory these days. Reloading components are not too hard to find.
