I'm thinking of purchasing a Nordictrack X22i incline trainer. Does anyone have experience with these?
Well, I haven't yet used mine with a pack (changing soon) on but mine has held up to a few years of abuse by my fat ass. That's a pretty good testament. Will they put up with years of abuse of pack training and such.
If you use it with a weighted pack and wear boots you're going to wear the walk belt quicker than if you wear tennis shoes on it. On any of the treadmills don't stand on the walk belt and hit start, stand on the side rails and hit start and let the belt start moving before stepping on to it. Standing on the walk belt and hitting start will stretch the drive belt much quicker than letting it start moving first. Basic hardware is the same on most of the incline trainers from Nordictrack, consoles and programming is the major difference between them and contributes to the different costs. For those who don't know, I've been a Nordictrack service tech for about 5 and a half years, I've serviced hundreds of incline trainers so I have a pretty good handle on them. Boots can also damage the surface of your walk deck over time, I've replaced several of those for that reason. Depending on how much you use your machine make sure you are lubricating the walk belt at least every 6 months for frequent users. They are still good machines but the quality has gone down from when they were made in Utah. The majority of their equipment except for the Freemotion line is imported from China. Parts may or may not be in stock right now, they sent us a memo a month or so ago that some parts will be 3-5 months before being back in stock. If anyone has any specific questions feel free to ask.Whats your guys opinion on these? Will they put up with years of abuse of pack training and such. Ive seen them but never tried on. I have been seriously considering one. But for the price hate to jump on so.ething that wasnt durable. Just curious as to your thoughts.

Sole makes a fine treadmill. I service those as well. If you ever call in for service they are headquartered out of Arkansas. Easy to deal with. Our 15 y/o Nordictrak just bit the dust and we went with the Sole F63. The top rated treadmill around $1000.
Great piece of equip. It isn't a 40* incline, 15* is enough for us.
