I am a feeble old lady which is why I shoot 6.5 cmDid I miss the part saying you were a lady, or a feeble old man and afraid of recall? Don’t know why anyone would suggest a 6.5 creed.

And I’m even more feeble with my 6cm…I am a feeble old lady which is why I shoot 6.5 cm![]()
If I had that kind of money, im upgrading gear to get my pack lighter and more compact. Or to be more comfortable. After that, would be a spotter. But I dont think the OP or most folks need a spotter. Just some retards opinion though. That's actually a great thought. Upgrading gear that isn't my weapon. If I didn't have Swaros already, that's probably what I would do.

Yeah which is why I’m getting a 6 arc put together…And I’m even more feeble with my 6cm…
I actually have a true love for a Kimber Mountain. Or a Kimber in Wood. Just a personal love for one.No flies on the tikka's. But I'm kinda over them.
I'd be hunting down a m70 or kimber in some nice wood
There's no reason to believe the OP is a new hunter. He just hasn't been a WESTERN hunter.Holy f... - such a trope of dumb advice for a new hunter: "You must buy they newest/latest greatest caliber rifle but u have to replace the trigger and barrel and " blah blah blah.
Buy a Ruger American in .3006 or 270 or .308. Use your vortex scope. Buy a bunch of Remington Cor Loks in 165 gr. Spend some time at the range then get down on your pack after you get it in the bullseye from the table. Buy some $300 boots and if u have any $ left get some freeze dried backpacking food.
Or drink the Kool aid and buy a Tikka in whatever Creedmoor everyone tells u to buy, get a rokstock and a brake and a suppressor and a bipod and sweet custom turret. You won't have any $ left to buy tags or gas but u will be part of the club. Spend your time shooting steel targets at 10000 yards instead.
So the question is, if you were in this predicament and were playing with the houses money, what would you buy and why?
Yea I've only been hunting for about 20 years so im kind of new....and im certainly not going to buy coreloks when I can roll my own....and I ask these questions because unlike some people I actually like hearing other peoples opinions on such subjectsThere's no reason to believe the OP is a new hunter. He just hasn't been a WESTERN hunter.
Also, everyone here has perfectly answered the question that was posed. He didn't ask "what should a new hunter get?" What he asked was "what would YOU do with this money". But don't take it from me. . .
This advice is not flawed, but there are reasons that many people on this and other forums commonly recommend the 6.5 CM in a Tikka platform. The 6.5 CM is an accurate caliber with great ammo selection and very manageable recoil. And, by the way, it is not a new caliber - unless you define 2007 as yesterday. Tikkas are also one of the best and most economical production rifles for the money.Holy f... - such a trope of dumb advice for a new hunter: "You must buy they newest/latest greatest caliber rifle but u have to replace the trigger and barrel and " blah blah blah.
