my son will be 9 when next season rolls around and have been looking to build a rifle to start shooting more with him. currently shooting a lot with a rim rife but time to move up. he looks my gredel well but i don't want him hunting with a AR right out of the gate. i have been looking into 6creed,22creed and 6 arc. anyone have any pull one way or the other and why?

I built a 6 ARC with a mini howa and a mdt oryx.
It is awesome, a good shooter, not super expensive, medium weight, and super low recoil. This gun breeds no bad habits. He is 11 and can hit our target at 1135 yards 2 out of 5 times in easy wind conditions.

My son is 10, and I'm afraid to take him hunting yet, and he's afraid to shoot himself.
Sounds like both you and him need to spend alot more time around guns and setting up for shots and actually shooting a bunch. Get a practice rifle he enjoys shooting and it's easy for him to manage wieght and size wise.

Look into the TC Encore. There is a Hobbit rifle thread. This is the platform that I’m currently using for my young kids.
