hunting with kids

my son will be 9 when next season rolls around and have been looking to build a rifle to start shooting more with him. currently shooting a lot with a rim rife but time to move up. he looks my gredel well but i don't want him hunting with a AR right out of the gate. i have been looking into 6creed,22creed and 6 arc. anyone have any pull one way or the other and why?

I think keeping it simple with 223 would be my preference, lots and lots of shooting with a huge variety of factory ammo on the cheap and step up to good hunting ammo for the big hunts.

I built a 6 ARC with a mini howa and a mdt oryx.
It is awesome, a good shooter, not super expensive, medium weight, and super low recoil. This gun breeds no bad habits. He is 11 and can hit our target at 1135 yards 2 out of 5 times in easy wind conditions.
