While from a strict scientific perspective this is technically correct - Aoudad’s are neither true sheep or goats and are in a unique genus. However, the only thing that truly matters is GSCO and SCI consider them sheep for record keeping purposes. Therefore Wild, Free-ranging Aoudad count toward the Ovis World Slam as well as several SCI Milestone and Inner Circle Awards. So, for hunting purposes they are sheep - and they make a gorgeous mount.How? Aoudad aren't sheep
