It's not a secret that why a brought up...obviously from your comments you agree. From a R standpoint it is a significant hurdle to limit NR opportunity.

In 2020 56.3 m generated by license revnue 77%/ 43.6M come from non resident tag/pp sales...17%/9.6M was generated by R tag sales. Another 3.2m in conservation stamps sales..both R and NR

Good luck coming up with an extra 45.2 million from resident tags to manage the states wildlife.

Like or not we are in this together...rational solutions need to be discussed not absolutes.
You should look at how much money the Feds give WY, a state with under 600k residents, the per person welfare to keep the state operating is high even if they don’t look at it that way.

I’m kinda shocked it doesn’t instate a state income tax so it isn’t so dependent on Federal aid.

Took 12 pages for the Wyoming being a “welfare state” to rear its ugly head. Just isn’t the case and that per capita number is greatly influenced by a single factor that anyone who knows the state would easily recognize but that doesn’t help the argument against Wyoming, does it?

I read the first 3-4 pages in their entirety. Several mentioned how NR's can visit , hike, fish or camp in wilderness, but not hunt. However, A NR can HUNT anything they want that is not classified as a big game animal. So walking around with a bow or rifle while coyote or grouse hunting is perfectly legal. Be tough to prove you were after a deer , elk or grizzly , unless you were packing one out.

And you’re welcome to come here and use the wilderness. Hell, I’ll even meet you at the trail head and we can catch a lot of Brook Trout and see some cool stuff, you just can’t elk or deer hunt there. Do I benefit from that? Heck ya. As I’ve said in every dumpster fire thread about this topic that has the same cry baby arguments from NR, the wilderness restriction is the second best part of the hunting here. I can get away from guys from Louisiana who blow a bugle every step and sound like they are at a kids birthday party with a kazoo.
Dude it’s federally owned land supposed to be managed for many uses. Great I can camp in it but that’s not my use preference it’s hunting.

It’s hilarious you calling us cry baby’s when you need the state to intervene in keeping people out when you complain running into other people hunting instead of just figuring out a plan b

Look I get it, I live in ID it can be frustrating at times, but I know you know deep down the law is bullshit. If I lived there I might would feel the same way

I bet you would.
I’m not the one whining or trying to influence what occurs in other states where I’m not a tax paying resident. Therefore I’m not the crybaby. I live here for the hunting. Plain and simple. If others want that they should make the same sacrifices I did. Misery loves company.

While yes you pay some state taxes, you do get a good break and pay no state income tax and yet collect the federal taxes from 49 other states but yes in reality many states do the same but how many other states only have a fraction of a percent of the population yet collect so much federal cash between PR funds and funds to keep the state operating?

We all pay taxes that benefit WY and if WY received zero aid from other states there would be 50k residents, wagon trails and a private airport in Jackson. I’m not trying to be rude but it’s very true. I bet 45 of the other states each have one city with a higher population then the state of WY.

You know what's amazing? You AREN'T required to hire an attorney to write a contract, represent yourself in court, or write your will.
That’s true you can DIY just like you can with sheep and brown bear in alaska. You just have to follow the rules. You choose to represent yourself in court or write your own will there is still a process. Same if you want to kill your dall sheep DIY.

But we know! It’s BS!

That's a entirely different issue they have to deal with...WY has 6th highest per capita income in the US, 82k..only DC, MA, CT, NY, and NJ are higher...They use the no state tax loop hole to bring in out out of state invest and then the residents complain about high housing prices/limited supply, ect.
Hell the annual Federal Reseve meeting is held in WY every year...

I’d be thrilled if it went back to wagon trails and 50k people. Don’t threaten me with a good time…
