How to catch an untrapable mouse.

This popped up on my phone as a memory from 1 year ago today.

I read back through and wanted to clarify something.

Some were asking about the color of the turds. I insisted they were black. I am just a touch color blind. My wife informed me the turds were grey or brown.

After this, we never had turds in that house again until we moved out in November

Are you doing a full mount on a pedestal with simulated natural environment, a half mount coming out of the wall, fangs exposed, or a rug? IMHO a rug with the talons in tact would go nicely as a coaster or as a hot-pot handle. Just my opinion, not trying to suggest what's best for your taxidermy goals. it's a matter of taste and how much floor or wall space you have.

This is like a Gopher or a Vole.

I related my extreme difficulty catching a vole that was in our house; now we’ve got another on our back patio my wife wants gone

I use an air rifle for the rats outside, for the mice getting into my house i use glue traps pretty regularly tucked against the corner of the wall. I've had really good luck with glue traps but currently we are under a rat invasion and the glue traps aren't turning up anything! Gonna try one of these nifty bucket traps

Buy a new 3 pack of traps and only handle them with latex gloves on. I've never tried this but shake some salt everywhere and bait the traps with some juicy fruit like half a grape. It has worked great for me with partially poisoned rodents from other properties because the poison makes them thirsty.

Got no problems with traps or shooting an animal but someone who poisons any living thing has a special place in hell in my book. No matter what kind of animal it is.

Re read my post above. And he's obviously not going to poison anything since there's a pet cat.

I have no problem putting out rat poison EXCEPT they will die in a corner somewhere in your basement and you will have to crawl down there in and find him by smell. Not a fun experience at all, so now i just do glue traps (which are pretty cruel when you see how long they suffer) and a 22 air rifle.

I hope when I die, I don't arrive at the pearly gates and there's a line of rats, possums, and crows standing there with signs protesting my arrival.

So you don't use ANY insectisides, eh?
Nope, if a fly in the house use a fly swatter, also use a zevo trap for any wayward mosquito or gnat that may find its way in, no roaches (were a clean bunch of bastards) spiders get the swatter also if they stop bye use to have a cat that would catch flies meanest damn cat I ever saw but he moved on after 15 years. So I guess this brings up the next question.
