How much zoom do you like on a 500 yard hunting shot?

A rifle scope is not the tool for this job.

So am I to mount a spotting scope on my rifle? You have approx. 1 minute to make that decision. Maybe one day I can be as perfect as you.

1x per 100 yards should be your minimum desired magnification.

e.g. Shooting at 300yards? You will want at least 3x magnification and 5x magnification for 500 yards.
