Trying to decide which scope to go with 6.5prc

I bought a Ruger American Gen II Predator 6.5 PRC rifle for an antelope hunt in Wyoming. I am trying to decide which scope to get for it.
I want to be able to get out to 500-600 yards. I like simple. If I can get it setup and then be able to turn the knob to the yardage, I'm shooting that'd be great. I was leaning towards the Leupold vx-3hd 4.5-14x40 cds-zl, but I've come across several bad reviews on that one, so it sounds like I should stay away from it.


Budget....under $1,000.
I'd appreciate any input!
