We get 4 weeks a year, 3 floating holidays and 2 weeks of sick time. It's pretty generous but I still hate my job.

Currently at 271 hours ( but put in for 3 weeks off in September)
Good thing is I accrue 8.5 hours every 2 weeks so it adds back up quick!!
I think I can carry a little over 400 per year. I really try to keep it over 200 in case of an emergency.

I think 168 hours of vacation, 250ish hours of sick leave. Unlimited trades. I’m taking the month of august off and didn’t burn any vacation in the process.

This is based off a 48/96 schedule so taking just two days off gives me 10 days away from work.

Accrue 390 hours a year, maxed at 720 before they start paying you out. Additionally there is a comp time program that accrues at around 3.5 hours per paycheck. The kicker is that with my schedule using 48 hours of pto equals 10 days off. I feel guilty sometimes. But not really.

I can carry over 240 hours at the end of the year. I just 244 I think. I have 1000 sick hours accumulated and will continue to let that grow as it’s more of an insurance than it is time off. Any and all OT worked is complete time and allows me several more weeks off. Currently earn 12 hours vacation a month and 8 hours sick.
Your company might be different. I had 540 hours sick time. New company came in told me to leave and got $0 for sick time the company only paid vacation time not suck time. I well never do that again.

What the heck do all of you do for a living? I take off work for 3 days (meanwhile my phone still blows up) or I come back and have 5 days of work to catch up on.
Funny! Primary job is in local govt. I am the only person who does my job. I to have to prep before I take off, and I am punished severely when I return.

I also have a side business to juggle, but my clients are understanding. They know I go off the grid at least 2 weeks every Sept. (But I still have tons of pent up demand when I return)

It usually works out 2 weeks PTO=4 weeks of h#ll when I return.

I work for the govt. I do know of some changes but I’m grandfathered in with the old policy. I know of several guys at the moment that have 1700+ sick hours. Upon retirement we get paid for half and the other half goes into our retirement.

We accrue more every 5 years until it maxes out at 30 days.
I am currently at 20 per year. Days don't rollover, they just pay a bonus for the ones you don't use.

Generally only use a couple in the first 8 months of the year.... then after that you'll be lucky to catch me in the office in september and october.

Large corporate job. I take my time and add a name in my out of office. That poor sucker had to deal with my stuff while I am out lol. Actually even when I am in the Mountains, we come down to town every few days. I weed through my emails then. I manage a great team, so they can usually keep things going for a week while I am out.

I get 200 hours accrued annually and can bank 350 hours. Sitting at 200 banked right now. 9 paid holidays and some parental leave. I thought I had it pretty good but looks like other jobs have a little more to offer.

I get 4 weeks every year. My department doesn’t track it. We typically don’t get to use it all, but as some have said if you take card of your stuff you can take what you want. Example, I was going to go fishing tomorrow after I got my subs going. Now someone has to go to the doctors tomorrow so I have to stay and cover.

After 13 years with the company, I've been fortunate to reach the 'grade' where you no longer have set or accrued PTO or sick time. I'm comfortable taking 2 weeks off at a time, and with enough notice could take 3 weeks. Just depends on how bad I want my inbox, Teams channels, and text messages to blow up.

I can also work from anywhere I can get a Verizon signal, so if things are slow, and I can get Verizon, I can put a few hours in while I'm out.

Unlimited PTO at the company I work for. For the team I manage I make it mandatory they take at least 2 weeks a year. Sick time doesn't count towards that either, I require they take a minimum of 2 weeks of actual vacation. However they want to spend it is up to them, but I feel like it's critical for people to have that time off.

This is all interesting and it would have been better if everyone mentioned the profession and years of service.

I am in manufacturing and I have 3 weeks and 3 days. I get another week at 10 years, currently at 6 years. No sick leave.

Same here and agree 100%. I also mandate they leave their company laptops at home and only log in from their mobile phones for absolute emergencies. I couldn't do my job without my peeps.

I run a tier 3 IT support desk in digital health care. I've been with the company 13 years and survived one corporate takeover.

Unlimited. I usually take 4-6 weeks off depending on the year. Been with the company 20 years and worked my ass off when I was young, getting no paid time off. Work hard and be honest and good things usually come in time.
