I turn 70 this coming Monday and married 47 years Tuesday. Gonna bbq brisket for the my two sons and daughters in law and the 4 grandkids!!! Really enjoy family!!

I really enjoyed looking through this thread! 32 years old and getting married (for the first time) in 2 months! I've always been nervous about getting married in the past, but you all give me hope for a long wonderful marriage. And I found a great one now and I honestly look forward to being married to her soon!

Just an update to this response I shared from over a year ago. My wife and I already had our 1 year anniversary and she’s been amazing. Zero regrets getting married. And I love seeing all the long happy marriages shared here! My parents have been married over 40 years as well and they’ve set a great example for me also.

First time was 29 years. Then, I was a bachelor for 7. I'm with Lisa now, for nine years. I'd say I traded way up.

Yes, yes it does get better every year.
My wife backs my also, and sometimes gets after me if I’m not out hunting.
Probably trying to get me out of her hair….
