Himalayan Snowcock Hunters

Hello Gentlemen. My name is Matt and currently live in WA. I just found this site, and just joined tonight. On me: I mostly hunt chukar with my bird dogs all season. Recently moved here from TX, and I can say that all the public hunting land for chukars is incredible..... not much public land in TX.

Anyway, I'm looking for a die-hard who actually likes "pain" to hunt Snowcock with me. All my past hunting buddies that would trek up the mountain have all retired on me. I first hunted snowcock in 1998 and have hunted the Ruby's many times since, with 4 birds taken. So, not looking for a guide, just a fit person with the crazy love or just idea, of hunting snowcock. Welcome to Rokslide. If you're hunting the Rubys, consider putting up a post similar to this in the Game Birds section. I suspect there's some guys here in Northern Nevada who would love to have an experienced and seasoned partner to endure that with.

Good work getting out of Texas! I lived there for 5 years and it sucked! I live in NV now and do a lot of chukar hunting and last year finally made a trip to the Ruby’s just for snowcock. I’ve hunted the Ruby’s many times for deer/elk. Anyway I’m definitely going back this year for snowcock again. We found them on our last morning but ran out of time. I’m happy to discuss it further through PM.
