While Dylan and I were waiting for his buck to stand, we got this text from Caleb's dad.

"Buck down! Caleb got a 4x4!"

Thanks for following along on the first half of our adventures in Colorado. We will be packing up to head home in a few hours and then I'll be back for 3rd season with my brother to help my dad and sister-in-law fill their tags.

I enjoy taking youth hunting more than my own hunts. It's been especially fun to watch Dylan progress as a hunter.

Hey guys, it's almost go time for round two!

My dad and I are loading up. Planning to leave tomorrow night and at least drive over to his cabin in Easton so we are already over the first pass and can get a quick start early on Thursday morning.



My brother and his wife will be leaving ND about the same time to meet us down there. We're planning to get some scouting in on Friday so we have a good plan for Saturday morning. We are staying in a VRBO on this trip so that will be nice and comfortable.

By the way, Dylan's buck green scored at 177 1/8" gross. Quite a bit bigger than I thought it was before we walked up to it.



Hopefully we can find a couple more mature bucks for my dad and sister-in-law!
