I have Gunwerks, Lane Precision, and Ryan Pierce at Piercision. Here is my opinion of these high end builds.

Gunwerks LR1000- 7 rem mag, I have killed around 30 animals with this gun and shot around 150 rounds through it. The gun is versatile and has been comfortable to shoot. The benefit with going with gunwerks is they take all the guess work out of creating the perfect load, if you are going to hand load and have the time to develop your loads then I would suggest a custom build. If you don’t have time to hand load and want to buy expensive ammunition then I would suggest Gunwerks.

Lane Precision Rifle- I have a LPR in 300 Norma and Dallas does a great job at putting a beautiful gun together. Dallas will load develop your gun and send a dummy round if you want to hand load your own ammo, or he claims then shoot lights out with factory ammo. I do my own loading so I have never tried factory ammo in this gun. As far as accuracy the gun shoots really well and looks flawless. I had a few trouble’s getting ahold of Dallas upon my rifle being finished and a few issues on getting everything I paid for at the beginning on the build, other than that he did a great job and answered any questions I had before my final payment and shipping. Not sure if he was too busy to answer my calls or was just taking his time on getting my gun to me. I would consider using him again if I wanted to get really custom with a gun.

Piercision Rifles- 300 Norma Improved. This is the best shooting gun I have ever been behind, if you want a super accurate rifle I would suggest using Ryan Pierce. Ryan doesn’t do load development but has a guy that does, so you will definitely need to be able to hand load unless you buy factory ammo. Ryan has the best customer service I have experienced and takes great pride in his builds. He will help you with components if he has them and give you suggestions on what has worked for him. Ryan will be building my next gun and any that I may build after that.

Reach out to Dallas @ Lane Precision. If you’re not in a hurry, whatever wait time exists will be worth it. There’s good reason as to why his rifles sell so quickly when they pop up here or any of the various hunting forums.

We have tested the Gunwerks rifle packages including their ammo and Revic scopes for a long time now. If you want a turn key rifle that will do as advertised and built with quality and precision, that is what you will get. When you consider what we spend in time, range trips, and especially hard to find component today, to get our customs to the same point, the Gunwerks rifle package is a good deal.

What kind of ES/SD are you guys getting with Gunwerks ammo? I heard Gunwerks rifle systems are guaranteed to shoot 3/4'' MOA seven shot group at 100 yards, right? But I have never heard anyone mention the ES/SD of Gunwerks ammo.

ES and SD are not the whole story. But tight groups at 1000 are what we seek. I could care less about a 7 shot group at 100 yards. But 3 groups of 3 at 1K all under .75 moa will get my nod. That is what we see.

My first shot with my first Gunwerks was a dead bullseye at 982 yards. The very first shot I took. Right out of the box, I had to see if they were as advertised. 6.5x284 LR1000
I’ve taken many long range shots, all with the same result.

My 300 PRC Clymr is exactly the same, extremely accurate at long range.

One day we were hunting and ran into a couple guys on a ridge, they started asking about the rifle and if it was worth the money, I told them to pick out a target, small white rock at 1364 yards, boom, one shot. They’re believers.

It seems to me the "gunwerks is too expensive" posts appear to assume the price of the whole package (scope, etc) is the price of the rifle. For what its worth, I looked into a whole bunch of options both off the shelf and custom before my last rifle purchase and the costs for comparable setups to the Clymr were in the same ballpark. I don't have time to make my own loads and I've shot several of the Gunwerks models - all were dead on shooters - all things equal a reasonable deal for the package. Also turn around for mine was under 3 months, which was a big factor as I have a bunch of hunts coming up.
