Who was this company if you don’t mind sharingI have found them for 5500 from a company out of Alabama. Basically the same price if not cheaper than a custom. That’s a ti Clymr with a carbon barrel.
Awesome input! I really appreciate itI have several custom rifles and at that level it is hard to go wrong. I have two Gunwerks ClimbR rifles with carbon barrels that are almost identical. I have a 6.5 PRC (pic in the dry grass) and a 28 nosler ( pic Marco Polo). I try to stay within 500 yards when hunting, so I don't think you can go wrong with any of the names mentioned. I think RMP makes some of the best custom set ups out there! He makes an incredible product. I will have Viking Armament make my next rifle on a XLR chassis.
That being said, I don't care about the nay-sayers out there and I'll probably get slaughtered for sharing my opinion... almost didn't post. I know you an do it for cheaper... didn't care... just loved the set-up and wanted a couple. I love my Gunwerks rifles. They are shooters and both are dialed in. I didn't want to take this shot that far... I know!!! I wanted to keep it ethical. The last night on my hunt in Tajikistan, high wind, high angle... 842 yards. BR4 rangefinder... Night Force dialed in. Dropped him with one shot. Quartering away a little. Hit behind right lung, bullet exited lower left toward the heart. I took the shot because I was comfortable at the range out to 1200 so I went for it. I love the gun and have no reservations buying another. Yes, you can do cheaper and it would be fine. I wanted those guns, that system, that confidence. If you want to save money, go cheaper and you will be fine. If you want the Gunwerks... buy the damn thing and enjoy it.

A Gunwerks rifle alone is not that much more than a custom build from someone else. I don’t own a full rifle setup but have a clymr and magnus stock on a prc and 7 saum and they are the best stocks I’ve shot with and I’ve owned manners, mcmillan, mpa, greyboe, ag composites. I don’t think you could go wrong with a Gunwerks at all. Plus you have lifetime support from them if you ever need it. Get one and you won’t regret it there’s a reason you never see them for sale.
1500 actionHow much are the Ti/Ca Gunwerks?
My most recent build was a Lone Peak Ti Razor, Proof CW barrel, Manners EH-1 with mini chassis, and TriggerTech Special. All-in price including gunsmith fees and cerakote was a couple dollars under $4,000.
