If you want a McGowen barrel, they will remove the old one and install theirs.

My gunsmith, Manzella Precision, just did one a few weeks ago, he said it wasn't a pleasant job. He does 80% his work on rem700 clones, 15% Tikka, and 5% other odds ends. He did a CZ 527 a while back, said it was a hassle, but now wants to build on one for himself! Sometimes getting outside the box is a good thing!
