I cant stand it when someone has to kit up like they are the real deal. If you wanna be a billy bad a.. go sign the dotted line and do it. I didnt have the balls to sign up, and you wont catch me acting like I did.

That’s wild man. Crazy times we live in. I’ve worn my plate carrier for many, many consecutive days without taking it off and only taking my helmet off to catch a couple hours of “sleep”. I can’t say that I would want to wear one everyday at work and certainly won’t put myself in situations that require it or even if it may seem like a good idea. I will put one on and go for a trail run but that’s just good pt.

Or the twenty year old kid behind the counter at Sportsman Warehouse telling me I need to buy a Tri Star 12ga when I’m asking if they have a Silver Pigeon 20 in stock…
Sounds like Sportsman's Craphouse. So glad I left that cestpool...

You should try being there now.
I won't even shop there anymore. Al's gives me a discount because I made friends with the guys there, Scheels is always good to give me a deal, local shops are great to work with. Heck, Sportsman's is now more money almost across the board than freakin' Cabela's. That's disgusting.

Als gives everyone a discount. The owner of Als is a complete and utter asswipe. I only shop there if I absolutely have to.

Sportsmans will be Cabelas in the next five years. Just rebuilding and looking to sell.

Working in a gun shop has to be top ten worst jobs. The nonsense I hear the little time I spend in them is frightening.

I was really worried when I went to my first USPSA event. Thankfully, protocols keep those pretty dipsip free.

If I had soft armor, I'd wear it to the gun range. I can't see a downside with all the users in a small area. Especially when there is almost always a new to guns person there.
my range is my local shop, too. They've had a fair number of incidents, but nothing during working hours. It's always been at night. I don't blame the guys there for being strapped.

Thank you. I don't understand it. They get the gear and patches and run around every weekend shooting at paper like they are deploying next week. "You do know the government will pay you to do this for real, right?"

I wear armor when I shoot at the indoor range where they rent guns out.
We’ve had a few things happen down here, suicides, shoot yer buddy, shoot yer kids, etc. w rental guns on purpose/planned.

I prefer to stay away from public ranges due to googans and the attitude of the guys behind the counter.

If you had a had ammo but no gun, where’s the only place on earth you could go and they’ll hand one to you? Think about it.

While not likely, it has and will happen again in The future.

Same.

I walked into a gun shop a while back, guy at the counter had a bunch of AR mags on his plate carrier and his full size in a drop leg holster with spare mags.

I just walked right back out.
