Makes me wonder if I should wait out the shortages by getting into archery for a few months, or if I should be making the changes to my rifle lineup that I've been eyeing for a while, while it's still possible, but combursome

Are muzzle loaders changing in scarcity around rifles or ammo components?

Remember the new VP is from California. She will be introducing background checks on ammo sales nationwide soon. Don't need to take our guns if we have no ammo for it.
Certainly a possibility. Here in CA; ammo background check, no private sales without an in-store dealer background check, cannot privately sell more than 500 rounds a month without becoming a licensed dealer, mail order has to ship to lic dealer for transfer after background check.
Ammunition is what they are after now. The overwhelming thought is they feel ammo in not protected by the 2nd, only firearms. Hopefully with the new justices we can get some rulings in gun owners favor.

Pretty isolated where I live, don't get out much so I was surprised to see essentially empty ammo
shelves at two large sports stores in Bozeman last Sept. I'm sure it's even worse now with two anti 2A people almost in the White house.

Don't worry. The last debate all of the democrats candidates were falling all over each other trying to prove who was most anti gun and proud of it

some of the “shortage” is gun stores sitting on ammo to sell High. I know this for a fact because I recently did walk throughs at two stores while working at the fire dept. both had a crap load of 9mm and other cals. in the back. And the shelves were empty up front. When I brought it up the employee said “man I can sell you guys a box or two. $27 a box fmj. I’m good man. I’m sure big box store can’t do this, but the small ones damn sure are. (Some at least) That said buy low sell high. Smart business

Same for muzzleloaders. Primers is the issue. I can find powder and bullets where I am

I have found that the ammo thing seems to be a local deal. Here in Arkansas you can’t find much at the big box stores. When we were Antelope hunting in Wyoming, there was a local store, although it was good size, that had tons of ammo. No limits on purchases either.

It's interesting to see how many people just give up and go quietly into the night. Oh well let me just find a new hobby.... so much for prying it from our cold dead hands right? I'm really at a loss trying to understand how easy it was for this countries citizens to trade "safety" and "comfort" for liberty and freedom. It's shameful.

People accept small infringements constantly. That becomes normal and then another and another until one day you lost the battle you never fought.

“Your children’s children will live under communism, You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright; but we will keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you will finally wake up and find you already have Communism. We will not have to fight you; We will so weaken your economy, until you will fall like overripe fruit into our hands. The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” Nikita Khrushchev

Time to sell some stuff.

Some are preparing for civil war. Others the Demzombie Apocaplyse. Others still are those who read Relevations. Me? There's never been a reason NOT to buy a new firearm or ammo.
