Double Stuffs to the rescue. I noticed the liquor is still full stocked. You would think that if one would have to be quarantined pulling a cork would make things better.

Went to Sam's today here to get weekly stuff, fresh fruit and vegetables. Wasn't bad at all. Fully stocked other than toilet paper.

This is what’s going on in Wa, people are going nuts fighting in stores, schools k-12 are closed state wide. General on my job will send you home if you look sick and you need note saying you are corona free to return.

I’m about to go and see if I can find a package of Oreos.
Right now I’m being dead serious... I’ll trade one roll of two ply toilet paper for a pack of Oreos.
Just left Wally World with 2 packs! The preppers left them alone. Funny, those sumbitches probably have a 5 year shelf life.

I find this so comical, and VERY concerning at the same time. I bet 85% of the people filling their carts full of TP, standing in long lines and needing the police to maintain order, are the same people who would criticize, and laugh calling you a crazy prepper for having a month of canned food in your pantry and 500 rounds of ammo.
Irony at its finest....... I can't even imagine what would happen if this something serious!

Apparently all the toilet paper is up here in Canada. The store managers got the memo and about a week ago the stuff started showing up by the truck load. Only problem is, I live in a town of ski bums and rock climbers. No one is buying. It's now being discounted to blow it out.

Sorry, border is closed.

I must be missing something too? I’m super confused. Supposedly a Zombie apocalypse but I have yet to know anyone or come Across anyone at work (work for a fire department) who has the zombie plague.

One of the major hospitals in Denver said they had 1 patient according to a nurse I talked to when I went there. But according to the media hospitals are packed to the gill and that’s why we are shutting down schools and canceling everything.

It’s sad people panic so bad for this. Imagine what would happen if something bad really did happen.

What you are missing is that hospitals are already full, and if this virus spreads rampantly they will be overflowing.

It is unquestionably over-hyped, but not as much as some folks on here seem to believe.

I have to drive in to Spokane to grocery shop on a large scale. Friday I grabbed a couple packs of hot dogs for the kids and some pancake mix on my way through. Saturday I had to run to the hardware store. Now mind you that between the two trips the government closed school till April 24th statewide. I figured I would roll through the store and see how bad it is.

The stores are CLEANED out. Looks like a flash mob ripped them off.

The good news is that now is THE time for a bath remodel. The home improvement stores are EMPTY!

It’s not bad yet. But it could get very bad. In the hospital where i work the ICU was completely full the other day...zero corona virus. If you look at Italy and what’s happening there it’s pretty tragic. Not just old people dying, also people in their 40s and 50s. We could have the same thing here...we have similar numbers of ICU beds per capita. But if we get in front of it we will probably be fine. Hence the hysteria, closing borders, etc. it’s definitely dramatic and TP makes no sense at all, but we really do need to shut down the county for a while or else a lot of people will die needlessly. So in some sense the hysteria is warranted, but people’s individual reactions are clearly over the top.

this is why so many precautions are being taken. Keeping the transmission rate down is the key to preventing saturation of health care services. There is only a handful of case in our state and most all schools have closed.

Well its a whole lot easier to "social distance" with considerably small populations of people around you. 1918 population of Philly: 2 million. St Louis not even 700,000. Stupid example. I get the idea but just feeding into the media and their agenda.
