Funny. My musk Ox hunt cost me the same amount as what I saved by not doing a full body on my mountain goat. And I’m also very happy with my not full body mount of said Musk Ox...

Amazingly enough the are exactly what *** I *** wanted and I have no regrets. Not everyone doesn’t get a full body mount done because they can’t afford it.

When I get my brown bear I will probably do a rug...
I shot my goat back in November of 1978 so he had his full winter coat. My taxidermist wanted to do a full mount of him so much that he reduced the price of a full mount to only $300 more than a half mount. At that time I didn't have room for a full mount, so I had him do a half mount. I've regretted that decision ever since. I've also unsuccessfully applied for a Montana residene goat tag every year since 1978.

In 1988 I built a 1000 sf Trophy Room addition to my house so I've been able to add a few full mounts...

Old thread, as a follow up, I just did a shoulder mount on the goat I was referring to. I shot another one last year, and went pedestal based on AK.KS.AKs photo. It's done just haven't went an picked it up.
