Vortex is fair, but makes me mad

Tried the vortex koolaid once an that was enough for me. I'd rather buy good glass with shit for a warranty than buy a good warranty for shit glass..
Is there really a shit warranty, though, or is that just what people say when a manufacturer doesn't have a policy of no-questions-asked replacements? Yes, some manufacturers are not very responsive, but it seems that the warranty policy at a minimum is always fair if not still favoring to the consumer. I would never expect a quality product to be thrown away and replaced for just any type of malfunction or damage. I would expect it to be repaired and on my dime if the problem was my fault.

I think it depends on the scope line that they repair and return. They repaired a viper series i sent them. Dropped it back in the scope mount and everything was still zero zero with no adjustment necessary

Maybe I worded that poorly.

I do not know anybody with vortex products who hasnt had to use their warranty. I dont care how good their warranty is, I'd rather buy a scope that doesnt need that service.

For example..I know if I snag a swfa 6x off of the classifieds or ebay, theres a damn good chance I'll have a pretty bomb proof scope. Though if I do have issues with it, I'm goona be outta luck for a while. I'll gladly take that risk
