Shrek, I doubt they've been getting away with deflated balls since 2007.
I don't care for the pats but I despise the seachickens, mostly because of all their bandwagon fans.

Go Patriots!

I hate to break it to you but there have been a lot of loyal lifelong "hawks fans!

Largents payback hot on Atwater! Kenny Easley was one of my favorites... That dude could play. Great to see him as honorary captain at Super Bowl.

And some of my favorites=======Jim Zorn, Dan Doornink, Fredd Young, Mike Tice, Steve Raible, Dave Brown and anyone remember that Franco Harris played for the hawks? And, of course, The BOZ----not one of my favorites.

Steve Raible used to be my grandma's neighbor. As a kid, I would ride my bike to his house and ask for his autograph. This wasn't all that long ago so it was well after his playing days. I'm sure he thought it was pretty funny.

Been a hawks fan here since inception...Dan Doornink is a doctor now and in fact he is my mother's doctor. Really nice guy. I'd have to go with Kenny Easely as the top all around Hawk. He was voted the hardest hitter in the NFL during his prime. Guy could flat out hit people.

I met Kenny Easely when I was a kid. It was a Friday night HS game. He had his Sunday game face on and frightened me. I once watched him dislocate a shoulder. They popped it back in place on the sidelines. He ran back out on the field, demolished some poor soul and ran straight to the bench to get his shoulder popped back in place just in time for a punt return. He's one tough SOB! Thrilled he's got his health issues worked out and love that Paul Allen and the Seahawks finally did the right thing for him. The ring of honor was nothing but joke when #45 was not up there. Too bad he had such a short career. Ronnie Lott calls him the best safety to ever play the game and I agree with him!

As for the bandwagoners. I'm sure they exist. Just not in the states of Wa, Or, Id, Ak or Hi :)

There's a statistical analysis that shows them getting too good at not fumbling starting in 2007. It's the first year that the traveling team could provide their own balls and therefore control the inflation while on the road. When compared to the rest of the league they became statistically too good beginning in 2007. They've been dirty with the balls since then. They even tracked players who had left the Patriots and their fumble per touches fell into the normal after they left which means it definitely wasn't a technique that was learned.

I believe this is the article which best sums it up. I'm with Shrek on this one.

Hate rooting for New England, but will not ever root for Seattle. I wonder how much they paid Green Bay to throw the game in the last 4 minutes?

Thrilled that most all the talking heads are picking Brady and the Pats. That makes me feel a hell of a lot better about this game.

Can someone please give me an accurate "bandwagon fan" definition?

If you don't know the history of "your team". Steve Largent, Dave Krieg, Jim Zorn, Cortez Kennedy, and of course Walter Jones at left tackle. True fans should be able to recite these players names and know what they did for the team. And no, age doesn't matter. True fans believe in history. True fans do research. The Seahawks never sold out a football game before 2006 and now their fan base acts like they've been selling out the house for 3 decades. They do not have the copyright on "the 12th man". Colleges were using that over 60 years ago and the Seahawks currently pay Texas A&M every year for the right to use the phrase. I'm sick of this huge bandwagon that has come about since the Seahawks started winning. I'd be ok with it if the people didn't sound and look so dumb. But flying through Seattle makes me realize just how pathetic it is. I don't care for the Brady bunch, but I hope they crush the Seahawks. Big.

I guess that's why the #12 was retired in the 80's?

If your gonna troll at least put in an effort!

Never argued the point that Texas had rights to the 12th, just wanted it pointed out that the Seahawks did retire the "12" long before the current "bandwagon" wave. Bandwagons always pop up when teams are winning, that is the way it is. As a long time fan, through the losing and winning seasons, I get annoyed with the bandwagon type, but only when they try to talk about the history of the team etc... if they want to jump in and cheer, fine, go ahead. Fact is, every team that performs like the seahawks are right now, will experience the same bandwagon effect.

And yes, the seahawks did sell out games before 2006, maybe not many! but there were some.

How does a fan base act like they have been selling out the stadium for 3 decades? By cheering exceptionally and being overly passionate?
