Garmin Xero C1 Pro Chronograph

I feel the same. It’s cool and I’d like one. But it’s not even fully vetted yet and people are dumping their LabRadar’s for cheap
I really like how compact it is, if it’s as easy as just popping it on the bench and shooting at that size, I’m all in but I don’t need to do nasty things to get one by the weekend.

Still in stock at Whale-Tales Archery

My first test with it suggests it really is that easy. It’s also really small. I did a pickup at my local scheels and when I got the bag I could not believe that was it. Then opened the box, blown away how small and compact. It’s going to crater new LabRadar sales overnight. Walked through scheels and they had LabRadar at 625, no trigger or tripod. Having used a LR for a few years with and without a trigger, the trigger is a must have. Making a new LR almost 700. while the LR has features the garmin doesn’t, for most users the ease of use for the garmin will make it a clear winner.

I expect the garmin is so easy you could walk up to any bench on the range, select a new series, set it down and fire 5 rounds and have velocity for that setup. then email or text the results to that person.

I'll end up buying one when Area 419 gets restocked. I would like to see if with some longer screws I can stack their adapter on a bipod with my RRS arca / pic clamp. That would be pretty cool.

Is it possible to alternate between rifles/strings without creating a new series?

I like to bring multiple rifles to the range and alternate them after 3-5 shots to let the barrels cool. It would be nice to return to the previous rifle's velocity data and add more shots to that series.

With the area 419 clamp setup, how does movement with recoil not impact the readings?

Also, I’d be a little nervous about durability with it going through that many recoil cycles.

I also wondered this. The inability to do this with lab radar is one of my biggest dislikes.

I believe you can pause a string and then come back to it. I have not tried it, but there is a pause and resume feature on strings.

I’ll be picking one up especially if it’s faster to line up than my Labradar which is a picky little thing when it comes to alignment with a suppressor to pick up the bullet. Once aligned it works great but can be a struggle at times but maybe it’s just me and this is using the remote mic too.

May as well just get your wallet out now!

This was my first full day using this at "work". I intended to run my lab radars at the same as this new Garmin, but after the second time the magnetic trigger fell off and two no reads I pulled the pin and never turned them on again. At one of my shooting locations I shoot through 10' tube of tires for noise reduction and my lab sits off the side and reads most of the time and has to use a trigger. As the picture shows I put this in front of the rifle and it never missed a beat even reading through the tube. My other location I have a second lab and I am having to shuttle the Garmin back and forth. As my other picture shows its no where near the task as moving one of the labs. At the other shooting location that lab is fairly picky about being aimed correctly in order to read. I literally just set the Xero on the bench in the general direction of down range and it never missed a shot. For day one I'm pretty impressed with it. I will keep putting things I find one way or the other as they arise on this thread.
