I found this big lure in Canada. I was fishing a bank and just happened to see it hanging in some trees. It took a while, and some doing, but it made it's way back to Missouri.

My friend and I found this near Jordan, MT in 2010 while stalking his first antelope. Ended up being a female Native American who was buried there with some cool stuff like an eagle bone flute. Funny thing was when we called the sheriff to report it he essentially said he didn't believe us and that he didn't have time to check it out now. He asked if we could draw a map...yeah right. To an obscure coulee in the middle of a ton of obscure coulees? He actually let us leave town before the deputy called us 30 miles later and asked if we could take him there. He was obviously pissed off about having to work on Sunday and clearly thought we were full of it. His attitude changed dramatically when we got to the site.

the ifish website has a running post on this topic. Some cool, some weird and others... hard to explain. It got so large that it would take a bit of an effort to read it now. most of the cool ones were at the beginning and then folks started reaching

That’s a sweet old lure. I have a few that size I used for big pike. Nice find

Found a horse skeleton with a saddle on it and a bridle in its mouth laying on the ground on some local public hunting land where there are horseback riding trails while spring shed hunting. Posted in on cl and winds up it was a horse that got away from a rider the previous summer. Evidently that spot does not get much human foot traffic....:D

Funny, no.
One of the craziest things I've encountered was 25-30 yrs ago when we used to run dogs for hogs. We were hunting a private ranch on the Ca coast up near Gualala. The 90yr old gal that owned it was a family friend of my parents girlfriend.

The dogs chased a hog right through a huge pot growing operation in the back of that huge ranch with camp netting and the whole bit. The ranch foreman was running it behind the old gals back. They held us at gun point and took our drivers licenses. We promised not to say anything and to never hunt there again ...and they let go with the promise they would come after us if we told anyone.

We reported it to CAMP anonymously....but I never did hear what happened in there.

I was way the hell back up in the Sierra’s , walking in the middle of BFE. Look down and there was a dollar laying by a log. I was shocked and instantly picked it up and my hunting partner says “someone must have ran out of toilet paper and had to wipe on a dollar”. At least the snow and rain cleaned it up

LOL, I’ve heard of people doing this. Sorta ironic people have paper bills on them but don’t think to bring TP when in the field or woods.

I’ve had to resort to leaves myself honestly, and they can crumble when too dry....
