I was looking through my freezer and found about 50 doves from the fall of 2021. Still perfect with no freezer burn, so my son and I went to the tried and true bacon wrap with a jalapeno inside for about 25 of them. I marinated them in a citrus spice marinade for a a few hours. Grilled over oak lump charcoal, it's so good.

Inside? You mean next to the breast bone, and held in place by bacon? I never knew anyone who didn’t just breast out a little ‘ol dove

Absolutely. Kids love them basically chicken nuggets. Great stir fry meat too.

Yes, inside. That's an awful lot of work to debone each dove. I'll let the eater do that part on their own. I actually don't know anyone who does it differently than this.

I feel like that’s the only way to cook dove. We’d marinate in Italian dressing
