I listened to it. He completely contradicted himself in the first 10 minutes by talking about a Buffalo that took ten minutes to expire when shot through the vitals with a 6.5 creed and how it was borderline unethical. Then almost immediately telling a story about a 300 win mag shot through the vitals took exactly the same time and that was unfortunate but ok. Basically the only real thing I took away from the episode ; don't shoot Buffalo in the lungs if you want them to die quickly, aim high shoulder or base of skull. That is unless you shoot his 35 whelen which is much better than a 300 win mag at killing bison for some reason unbeknownst to anyone anywhere. Won't tell you to skip it, but won't tell you to listen either. It really seems that he can't look at the data that he himself is actually presenting objectively. It's tiresome and I personally won't be giving it more any more bandwidth.

Some people just need to make noise because silence doesn't sell.

I listened out of morbid curiosity.
I especially like “if you can’t shoot a heavy caliber rifle for physiological reasons, learn to shoot with your weak arm.”

“We had a little old lady shoot one with a 243 and a 105 gr soft point exactly right through the lungs and it didn’t fall over so she shot it 4 more times in the lungs and it took 8 minutes to die and covered 500 yards and we recovered all those bullets under the hide on the offside. Don’t shoot big game with small calibers.
We shot a buffalo with a 28 Nosler and a 160 Accubond straight through the lungs and hit the heart and couldn’t get another shot and it walked 500 yards and took 8 minutes to die. Gosh they are tough. Don’t use small calibers on big game. “

Pretty sure those are braincells I’ll never get back.

Gotta shave the shoulder manes before season, everyone knows the rules. Body Hair Bible
have to hand it to this forum. Here I was going into the wild with bushy shoulders to avoid friendly fire fatalities, but the .223 thread has proven conclusively I am fooling myself about the protection that provides.

On the plus side, I’ll need to pack less TP on account of the dingleberries after I shave the Gen z mustache I sport in my FL kiln bottoms.

JVB said he wasn’t sure how form could’ve taken hundreds of elk. Well, he hunts multiple states, but he also hunts with a lot of people and has been a firsthand witness. JVB said that if Form’s hundreds of elk were from an elk ranch, that it wouldn’t count as to bullet performance. That’s ludicrous. An elk is an elk is an elk, doesn’t matter if it’s running around the Rockies or in a high fence ranch.
Which episode was that? Didn’t hear him call out Form by name in the original podcast but I saw one was uploaded then promptly deleted by JVB.

In the deleted episode. I’m sure he deleted it due to the false info he spewed about the Exo guys caribou hunt.
Yeah, his rampant speculation about what happened on their caribou and moose hunts was wild. And his reading of listener submissions that straight up attacked folks was unbecoming. I wonder if his lawyer friend who he kept invoking as some kind of authority reminded him that one can be liable for defamation by publishing someone else’s defamatory statement—you don’t have to be the original author if you are exercising discretion over what gets published.

Yes, in the deleted episode. He refers to Form as “the guest”

I don’t get how a guy can be so closed minded about a topic that has enough data to prove otherwise. I’m not saying that I’m going to stop hunting with my 30’s or 7mm’s but I’m also not going to feel undergunned if I carry my 6.5 creed.

I’ve saw enough evidence from myself and friends to know that 243/6mm and up all work. I know 100% of the guys I hunt with to have never heard of Rokslide or JVB and that they figured this out in their own.

3 guys have went from a 338 lapua, 325 wsm and 300 wsm down to 243ai, and 2 6.5 creedmoors and they kill a pile of animals every year with not many rodeos.

Evidence speaks volumes, all you have to do is be open minded and have a little grey matter between your ears to see it
