I have the same truck. I’m at 98k and have replaced both manifolds. Have about 10k on the new ones and I think my driver side has another leak. Always get charged additionally by Ford service department because their bolts snap off in the engine block when replacing. Happened on my 04 F150 too.
You can get 3.73 on an XLT.
Right before covid you get get brand new ones for 4-5k under sticker. Anyone thinking about one should join some raptor groups to track down deals. I say base just meaning no options. The last generation they were super hard to find but there are definitely a lot of “base” ones now since base price is like 78K compared to mid 50s a few years ago.
True. If I’m buying a truck for off-road I would avoid max tow as it will probably ride rougher off-road. The regular leaf pack is now a single spring and the max tow I believe has a multi spring pack to handle weight better.
Ford updated the exhaust manifold on the later 3.5s to utilize more bolt holes in the cylinder head. These bolt holes are existing, just un used on the older trucks. So you can upgrade to Fords new ones or go with the BD diesel setup
No - 2 leafs plus the extra heavy one supporting them on the standard Tremor.
2021 F150 went to single leaf except the max tow and tremor. The pics are my personal truck. 2021 XLT screw 6.5 bed 3.5 ecoboost.
Yea it's not much of a fix to utilize the additional mounting points. I'll be going to the full race manifolds, bd would be my 2nd choice and no way would I use the "updated" Ford parts.

Do the F150s Tremors have the trail CC like my SD Tremor?...I didn't think much of it at the time of purchase but it's turned out to be one of my favorite features....FWIW if the "skid plates" are like the ones that were on my SD...calling them skid plates is a stretch.
The load lead is actually made of a composite material. My payload is 1962lbs for this truck.
Just like any other solid axel truck would ride off road.I air my tires down it helps.
