My grandma had passed away last year and left behind her old meat grinder. I cleaned it up this weekend and ground up a bit of my 2020 spring bear with maple bacon as a fat source. Fried up some sliders in a cast iron skillet and basted them with garlic butter while they cooked. Topped the patties with a homemade lemon garlic aioli, toasted some Hawaiian sweet buns and hit them with a bit of honey mustard. Hands down best burgers I've ever eaten, definitely would have gone a lot quicker with an electric grinder but made it 100x more sentimental hand cranking this out on grandma's old grinder...I think she would be proud!
Crawfish boil. With fried crappy, potato salad, pasta salad, homemade sour dough rolls, deviled eggs, sweet potato casserole, deer meat bacon wraps, and the beAt baked beans on the planet. Great stuff
Sauteed some onions and oyster mushrooms and mixed those up with some herb & garlic cream cheese. Butterflied a mule deer backstrap and stuffed it with the mixture then folded it back up and wrapped it in bacon. Dusted it in smokey chipotle and tossed it on the grill, came out so delicious I never took an after photo!
