Food porn to make you forget about WuFlu

Make an easy cream-puff recipe. Shape on a baking sheet into a small loaf. Bake till puffy. Cut in half (horizontal)as if making a sub-sandwich. Spread cold French vanilla pudding inside. Replace the top and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Consume. You're welcome.

I just wanted to contribute a little that involved zero doom and gloom from the WuFlu. I greatly enjoy cooking, especially grilling and barbecue (smoking). I recently picked up a new ceramic Kamado grill to primarily cook/sear steaks on. I made a trip to Sam’s to pick up some Prime briskets and pork butts for a cook tomorrow. While I was there I spotted this nice looking skirt steak. I couldn’t resist. I knew it would cook well on the high heat of the new Kamado. I put some seasoning on it that I mixed up myself. Got the grill up to about ~700 degrees and threw it on. About 1.5-2 minutes per side and it was done. I heated up some homemade tortillas, some fresh grated cheese, and this awesome skirt steak. It was so damn good......

Jasmine rice with a piece of cedar plank grilled wild Alaskan Sockeye salmon, tomato bisque soup, shredded Parmesan cheese, a side of grilled asparagus and wafer of seaweed. Oh, and washed down with a nice 2016 Sonoma County (Benzinger), Cabernet Sauvignon , because we don’t do white wine.

Been running through Hank Shaw's book. Made the italian meatloaf, venison shank barbacoa, and stir-fry so far. Tonight I'm making a squirrel, duck and turkey pot pie. Also made a wild yeast sourdough starter and learned how to make bread. It's my favorite thing ever.

Bought a whole brisket at Costco the other day. Trimmed it up and split it. Wednesday evening I took the flat end and cooked it in the oven over a bed of caramelized onions and it was out of this world good. Yesterday I smoked the point with some Oak and chopped it up for tacos with my wife’s homemade tortillas. This morning reminded me of Coues camp in AZ; should have used tin foil instead of a plate.
