While mostly correct you can if you do it using significantly less powder and recoil considers the gas volume and velocity also. It would be exceptionally difficult to make this significant due to the proportion coming from the bullet compared to gas.You really can't get higher velocity without more recoil when using the same bullet weight. Physics is physics. For every action (bullet going faster) there is a reaction (more recoil).
Depending on the powder used, 277 fury has about 20% less recoil than a 6.8W for the exact same bullet weight and velocity. I'd call that significant. While mostly correct you can if you do it using significantly less powder and recoil considers the gas volume and velocity also. Run 200 fps faster out of a shorter barrel. The question is whether you need or want that.
Took awhile for most of you to accept a .223 for big game too.
I was tempering expectations to not start too big a shit fight with who id responded to. I ran it in GRT and I thought it was significant but not as much as claimed. But I think I ran 65kpsi vs 75kpsi as I though saami has made them drop it from 80kpsi which isn't the case. I'll run it again at some stage.Depending on the powder used, 277 fury has about 20% less recoil than a 6.8W for the exact same bullet weight and velocity. I'd call that significant.
Careful you’re going to upset the fudd’s that think we should have stopped when the 30.06 was createdFrom the CEO down to the sales force on the street, ALL companies judge their workforce based on their performance VS. last year/quarter/month/week. If you aren't "up" over previous period you will be on the way out. If a company isn't increasing sales they are dyeing. Outside of panic buying periods, companies achieve most of their yearly growth through new item introductions. Yes most new items are not needed or ultimately successful. You can only invent sliced bread once.
But new items produce revenue because many retailers will order them. This is called filling the pipeline, which is sold goods and money in the bank. And the process starts over next year. It does not matter if the new item is needed, any good, or popular on public forums. These forums do provide lots of free publicity for the new items though. So for that Federal thanks you!
always something new coming out..just be happy we still have someone wanting to innovate.
