I have two pair if the Eddie Bauer pant. And two pair of the Sitka ascents. I would agree with the hipster fit with the Eddie Bauer. I still like them. As far as the Sitka pants. I like the older camo moth wing better than the new ones

Thanks for all the advice! It's funny, but my wife got me a pair of Prana Zion's last year. I hadn't really thought of them for hunting, but they are very comfortable...

Hot/warm weather: OR Ferrosi pants; cool weather: Marmot Rockstar pants or RAB Dihedral pants; cold weather: old fashioned wool pants.

Eb guide pants and kanabs here. I actually prefer the slimmer fit of the guide pant as poly pants that are baggy get that swishing noise ( the reason i dont hunt in prana zion). Ive tried other hunting brand pants(cabelas microtex, sitka tiberline) and a lot of them dont breathe well enough for me and I end up with swampass. Hranted I hunt the pnw where it rains and is in the 40s to 50s most hunting season.

EB Guide pants: love the fit and the weight. Pick up beggars lice something horrible. Still live them.

Sitka mountain pants. Great layout and design. A little baggy for my frame. About the right weight for Idaho in sept/ October.

Marmot Scree: my all time favorite. I would wear these everyday from sept 1 thru may 1 and just change base and outer layer.

Kuhl Liberator- You can zip off the legs if you want- sitting in a blind for antelope perfect. When archery mule deer hunting I run the leg zips about 1/2 way open for more air flow. You can also zip the bottom of the legs off and put 5 fingers on you can get very quiet stalking this way.

Kuhl Outback for mid season 50% merino and 50% nylon.

Last year i wore kuhl liberator convertibles with no complaints. The zip off option is very nice for hiking in and out and warm mid days. This year i went with kuhl renegades mainly because buying new gear is fun. Im very happy with them so far but feel like they will not be as durable as the liberators just due to the nature of the material. That stretchy material feels like it will snag easily. I looked at the prana zions but they do not make them in a 32x34 that i could find.

Kuiu Attack; Rail Riders. I have a pair of Prana Zion Stretch on the way and I expect to love those too.

I wore the Kuiu Guide pants the second week in Sept. with no base layer. Kept the vents zipped up early and late then unzipped during the middle of the day. Nice and cool with the vents open!

For warmer weather in temps down to around 30 degrees, I really like First Light Kanabs. For colder temps my favorites are Big Bill 8-Pointers which are great pants in snowy conditions. This combo worked well last year in CO 2nd rifle season.

Kuiu Alpines for me. Love the fit, comfort, stretch, durability so far, the zippered pockets, knee pads. To me they pretty much have everything you want in a pant.

Cold weather: KUIU Chinook - Great fit. Comfortable. Light. Durable. Micro-grid outside and inside that breathes well. Build in kneepads. (Wish they came in solid colors though, although I do like the Verde camo which is what I have).

Cool weather: Sitka Grinder - it is actually in their waterfowl line-up, but I got them because of the solid "dirt" color. They are now my favorite cool weather pant. DWR. Quiet. Durable.

Warm/Hot weather: KUIU Tiburon. I don't think anything but your birthday suit could breath better. I hunted 90+ degree weather in them and felt like I was wearing shorts. I like the solid brown color too.

Kuiu Tiburon with my Mountain hardware light weight long undies. With that combo I'm good from mid 20s to 100 degrees. Glassing or hiking
