They have an integral cinch strap (not a drawstring it's an actual strap with a triglide style doohickey) but they also have belt loops

I gotta say i love my Kuiu Attacks their def my favorite all around pant. I also run Eddie Bauer Guide and Prana Zions but I just don't see them compare as much in regards to the durability i need in hunting pants. All solid choices in my opinion!

I really like the Corrugate pants and when it's really hot I like the Kuhl Renegades. I think some of you guy overthink the noise issue. Been close to lots of animals in these pants, never did I think, damn they heard my pants.

I'm tall, skinny and always overheating. I use Eddie Bauer Guide Pro pants and Kuiu Attacks, the side vent on the attack is the main reason I like them. I love to be able to dump heat when hiking

I thought they were a tad noisy too but not enough to keep me from wearing them.
According to south cox film in the full draw film tour, you're supposed to take your pants off for the final approach anyway.

Depending on the year of course, a lot of my hunts are warm weather and I wear tiburons and attacks. If I had to choose an all around pant I'd go with the attack's. If FL had side vents they would get my business, i love the fusion camo. Until then, vents are my deciding factor, IMHO.

Kuiu pants are not perfect but love the vents, cargo pockets need a bigger opening for your hand. Haven't had the Tiburons for very long but like them a lot. They aren't as cold as I thought when below 40. I'm probably one who over thinks the noise of the FL guide pants but still appreciate the quietest pants I can find. Overall for fit, comfort, features the sitka mountain pants are my favorite, they will probably be my mid-late season pants. For scouting to early season its the Tiburon pants. Might have to make my own to get a perfect pant though.

Hey all, what's your favorite kind of pants for hiking/hunting the backcountry. I'm thinking something that's tough, comfortable, does well when wet, light enough to be comfortable on a nice day, but also good for colder weather with long-johns... Something that is not made of cotton... comes in drab colors, or camo... isn't terribly expensive... maybe even quiet?

Thanks for any thoughts on the matter!

After it gets colder it's really difficult to beat wool, I tried the KUIU zip off 145's under last year and they worked on all counts - For anything up to later November I find it tough to beat the Sitka Timberlines but buy them a size bigger than you normally wear in pants (at least that's what I found) I've got an old pair of Woolrich wool pants with leg pockets and suspender buttons that I'll be lost without when they finally give it up

I'm not the normal, but after last 10 years in September in CO high country last year I found best pants for me..

Cheap Gander Mountain mesh camo pant! I swear buckets hiking around and found these perfect for helping keep me cool..

I carry lightweight rain pants in pack to slip on if needed..

noise isn t always about the animal. i cant stand listening to snow pant sound repeatedly, let alone when i like to listen to whats out there on the move. its kinda like the sound of these gay flip flops people wear EVERYWHERE that cant seem to pickup their feet:)
