For practical reasons my .308 and .300 wm
For nostalgic reasons my 25-06 and 35 whelen
Wouldn't feel like I was disadvantaged if I could only have any combination of those 4.

Need an excuse for another bolt-action(s): what cartridges would you round out the stable with? Currently have .25-06, .270, and .300WM. Considering getting a Tikka practice pair of .223 and ______? Don’t currently reload, but future possibility. Easy button kind of guy

I'd have a hard time getting rid of my favorite rifles, mostly due to having my top two favorite being in the same cartridge, the 250 Sav in the Savage1920.

But If I could only hunt with two....

270 Win
45-70

Tempted to pick the 9.3x62 over the 45-70, but it's easier to find ammo & reloading components for the 'ol lever gun.

I can't believe I will be the 4th person to put a 358 Win on their list !!!

Mines simple as well 30-06 , 358 Win and 375 H&H

If I only could pick one, I'd really have to think on it, but my one and done is probably the 375 H&H as well.

Lots of capable round out there, but I guess I'm fond of nostalgia and what's tried and true... 30-06 and it's big brother the 35 Whelen. I like that the ballistics are essentially the same, one just has more thump.

I don’t have a lot, but a favorite duo would be my

358 w and 6mm rem

or my 358 w and 7mm rm

or my 358 w and 308 w

oh! Or my 358 w and 350 rm

If I hand to pick one not sure...

280AI for an all around hunting caliber. I enjoy my 300PRC for long range shooting. the 6.5 is what I'm teaching my boy to shoot and its what he'll use for hunting. But I also enjoy my .308. If I could just have one, it would be the 280AI. It's suitable for anything if you hand load for it.

Kinda floored to see so many "odd balls" in this list. I didn't really think the 280/280AI was THAT popular. And I didn't think that many SAUMs were floating around.

6.5 Creed and 300 Win Mag for me.

Reduced to just one, it would be toss up 300 Win Mag or 338 Win Mag. With the 338 being my All Time love affair cartridge, however I realize the 300 WM prolly a better all around, International, Find Ammo Anywhere chambering.
I have a 300 saum that is by far my favorite. And I have many second places Contenders. I can’t decide. Some are worth a lot more than that rem 700. I’m guilty Of having gundawear
