Checking in here to keep myself honest. I'm up a couple lbs from the last weigh in but have no concerns about it. I just got back from a successful solo archery elk hunt in MT and my body is still acting funny as a result, holding water, feet swollen, etc. Shot a bull Thursday night and got the last load of meat and antlers to the pickup around sunset Friday night (9/13). It was the best kind of pain. I'm guessing by next Monday things will have settled out again. If I can figure it out I'll get a picture up on here. All the work paid off though!

I'm helping a buddy on a Wyoming rifle elk hunt and leaving for that trip in a month. The goal is to be under 210 by then.

Started at 208 and have plateaued at 201.5 for 3 weeks straight. That said, I'm still happy I tried to get below 200 before next week's hunt as the gym has gotten me a bunch stronger.

guess ill chime in, weight loss has plateued as expected, running 30 minutes (1230 pace) at the gym 3 times a week along with a solid workout after. Happy with how it has come so far. When i started the gym with the C25K program i could run the minute but it was tough, now 30 minutes, 12 minutes at 5.0 (12 minute mile) then lower to 4.5 (1330 i think it is) then last 3 minutes is 2 minutes of 5.5 and 1 minute of 6.5. averages out to about a 1230 mile. once i hit the 5k mark ill work on brining that down.

This was a good thread, but let’s try not to have it next year. This is the time that people start slipping down the slope. Try to maintain your discipline through the holidays. It’s much easier to stay in shape than it is to get back in shape.

251.1 this morning. I have put on 20lbs over the last 2 years. Some of that was muscle. I have been crossfitting for almost 6 years, and have had a hard time adding strength. Figured out the strength part. My bf is back up around 20%, so I have some excess. I want to get back to 225 over the next 26 weeks.

I would like to join in on this! as of a week ago I finally decided it was time to get my fat ass back in shape.
Cut carbs down to about 20-30 a day and stopped drinking cold turkey. Started this on the 22nd, I was 259.6.
As of this morning I am 253. Goal is 200 by September.

Started hitting the gym 1/13 consistently on a 3 day split + cardio 1-2 days depending on motivation. On 1/13 I also started eating 1,952 calories (Estimated TDEE-2,322 calculated for 213lb, 5'11" 25%bf and sedentary). 1/20 I changed up the diet to eat more things I actually enjoy and its currently 1,819 calories 22% deficit. I've cut down on my college binge drinking and started saving a little money with the prepped food too. Next weigh in friday.

I need to get in on this. I'm 6'1 and currently 245. The heaviest I've ever been was a few months ago at 255. I'm muscular but had gained a lot of beer and cheeseburger fat after getting off of active duty.

So now the goal is to keep as much muscle as possible while trimming the fat through more cardio and metabolic conditioning workouts. I've also started to control my eating and drinking more. Limiting myself to 1 plate of food at all meals rather than getting second helpings. No drinking during the week, only Fri-Sun. And sadly, no beer for a couple months. These restrictions alone made me shed 10lbs in a month easily.

My "end" goal is to get down to 210-215 by September.

Weekly check-ins:

4/20/2020 - 245lbs
