Kudos to all you "losers". I haven't weighed in on this thread yet (man I'm just full of 'em today) but I stepped on the scales in Feb after my uncle and I decided to apply for a mule deer tag in Wyoming and I was 216. I'm 5'10" with shoes on. I spent a couple months at the local university fitness center using a stationary bIke and eliptical machine and chasing a basketball around the court most days of the week along with some calesthenics and was down to 206 fairly quick. Spent a couple more frustrating months at that weight and in spite of my desire to lose more weight and better my fitness level, I just couldn't get myself to spend more time at the gym or increase my efforts to break through the sticking point. Then came my MR Metcalf in the mail in May and the gas company mowed the gas lines through Cooper Hollow Wildlife Area just down the road from my house. Long story shortened, I've been humping hills with 40# of sandbags and riding an 8 mile hilly route on my bicycle every other day for the past 6 weeks, got on the scales Saturday morning to see 195. I was pumped. I'm not so focused on the weight thing as I am fitness in general but I'm thinkin 185 by October might be possible. Good luck to all whatever your goals and if nothing else, western hunting is a great excuse to get fit.
