I'll join in, currently 225, 5' 11''. My goal is 200 by middle of October. My routine 4 a.m. 20 minutes spin bike 20 minutes stepper. In the evening squats deadlifts and upper body depending on the day of the week. 3 days a week hiking with a 50-pound pack 3-6 miles.
Howdy fellas, I'm down to 249 from 274 at my peak last November. I was down to 246, but I quit dieting for 3 months and gained 10 lbs when wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is kicking cancer's butt and I'm going to continue kicking my fat butt until it is trim again.
Still heading in the right direction, feeling really good and getting close to original goal of 225 by October but I think I will lower that some. Want to get as low as I can and still maintain strength, just not sure where that number is - maybe 210 or so.
I started mountain biking a couple months ago. Primarily a social gathering with coworkers a couple days a week, but holy cow the cardio and leg workout! Definitely helps break up the monotony of carrying a pack around the trails solo. Great peer pressure to make me go on days when I'm not motivated. Guess I'll find out in September how much it helps.

Yeah it’s a gain of .1 but I’m actually kind of ok with it since I’ve been afraid all week that last weeks weighin might’ve been a fluke. Still have my work cut out for me getting to 200 but I have some time off coming that’ll allow me more control of the diet and definitely lots more workouts. Keep at it and good to see the new guys coming over and getting healthy.
Holding steady but not making progress like I want. Had a life change the last month when my wife found out she had breast cancer. Caught it early and made it through the surgery so the prognosis is looking very positive. I will get back on track 61 days till chasing elk in the Gila

The long weekend sure didnt help but going two weeks strong without soda and starting to change my diet over. Going to try salads all week for lunch and start pack training. Kettlebell 2x a week Rowing 2x a week and starting with my pack this week. Slow and steady starting from never worked out a day in my life !
Good thread. Hope it’s ok if I join in late. This morning I was 189. That’s the heaviest I’ve been in 2-3 years, and I’d like to be below 170 for hunting season.
Kudos to all you "losers". I haven't weighed in on this thread yet (man I'm just full of 'em today) but I stepped on the scales in Feb after my uncle and I decided to apply for a mule deer tag in Wyoming and I was 216. I'm 5'10" with shoes on. I spent a couple months at the local university fitness center using a stationary bIke and eliptical machine and chasing a basketball around the court most days of the week along with some calesthenics and was down to 206 fairly quick. Spent a couple more frustrating months at that weight and in spite of my desire to lose more weight and better my fitness level, I just couldn't get myself to spend more time at the gym or increase my efforts to break through the sticking point. Then came my MR Metcalf in the mail in May and the gas company mowed the gas lines through Cooper Hollow Wildlife Area just down the road from my house. Long story shortened, I've been humping hills with 40# of sandbags and riding an 8 mile hilly route on my bicycle every other day for the past 6 weeks, got on the scales Saturday morning to see 195. I was pumped. I'm not so focused on the weight thing as I am fitness in general but I'm thinkin 185 by October might be possible. Good luck to all whatever your goals and if nothing else, western hunting is a great excuse to get fit.
